Disclosed are video playback and data providing methods in a virtual scene, and a client and server implementing the same. The video playback method comprises: receiving current video segment data sent from a server, wherein the current video segment data represents a video segment, and the current video segment data comprises at least one specified viewing angle and a data identifier representing video segment data to which the specified viewing angle is directed; playing the video segment represented by the current video segment data, and acquiring a current viewing angle of a user during playback; and determining a target specified viewing angle matching the current viewing angle from the at least one specified viewing angle, wherein a video segment represented by video segment data to which the target specified viewing angle is directed is played at the end of the playback of the video segment represented by the current video segment data. The technical solution provided in the disclosure enables a user to move in a virtual scene while avoiding the use of external devices.

Providing video playback and data associated with a virtual scene

Embodiments of the present application relate to a method for implementing video calls, a system for implementing video calls, and a computer program product for implementing video calls. A method for implementing video calls is provided. The method includes maintaining persistent connections with a plurality of terminals used to make video calls, each terminal having a universally unique identifier, receiving a video call request from a calling terminal via one of the persistent connections, the video call request including the universally unique identifier of the calling terminal, equipment descriptive information of the calling terminal, and the universally unique identifier of a called terminal, notifying the called terminal via one of the persistent connections, the notification being based on the universally unique identifier of the called terminal, receiving a response from the called terminal, and establishing a video call channel based on the received response.

System and method for implementing video calls

Providing communication includes receiving, via a set-top box of a first communication device, a call request message via a network from a second communication device, sending, via the set-top box, a notification message to a remote control device of the first communication device while a television set is turned off, providing, via the remote control device, a user prompt in response to the sending of the notification message, and establishing, via the remote control device, a communication connection through the set-top box with the second communication device after receiving a call response, the remote control device being wirelessly connected to the set-top box.
