One or more applications access a first set of database tables via a first projection view mapping from a first name to a second name. At a given point in time, the one or more applications may detect an indication of a modification operation targeting the first set of database tables. In response to detecting the indication of the modification operation, the one or more applications may create a second set of database tables for storing results of the modification operation. In response to detecting a completion of the modification operation, the first projection view may be remapped from the first name to a third name, where the third name is associated with the second set of database tables. Then, the one or more applications may access the second set of database tables via the first projection view mapping from the first name to the third name.

Deployment of configuration data in parallel to active test usage

Arrangements for configuration changes using a wildcard engine are provided. A data pattern group associated with one or more configuration sets may be generated. The data pattern group may include data patterns with one or more wildcard characters. An input selection may be received. Values for the data pattern group associated with the one or more configuration sets may be selected based on the input selection. The one or more templates associated with the data pattern group may be modified by applying the selected values to the one or more templates. Old data patterns may be automatically replaced with new data patterns. The modified one or more templates associated with the data pattern group may be activated via a template engine and stored in a database.

Intelligent configuration handler

Arrangements for dynamic selection of delta client copy strategies are provided. An intelligent client copy computing platform may determine whether a database table of a source client is empty. If not, the copy computing platform may determine whether the database table has changed. If not, the computing platform may determine whether the database table has been copied from a same source client of a last copy operation. If so, the computing platform may determine whether a record count of the source client is the same as the record count of a target client. If not, the computing platform may apply a delta copy algorithm. The algorithm may select records of the source client, deduct records of the target client from those records, insert records that are in the source but not in the target client, and delete records that are in the target but not in the source client.

Dynamic selection of delta client copy strategies

Arrangements for execution of programs after import for configuration changes are provided. One or more execution of programs after import objects may be generated based on one or more database table definitions. Metadata configured by a user via a configuration interface of a user device may be received. The metadata may be associated with an update to at least a portion of data included in one or more data structures stored in one or more database systems. An execution of programs after import object associated with the update may be executed by identifying a scenario associated with the update, generating a WHERE clause including one or more conditions associated with the identified scenario, executing the WHERE clause, and automatically replacing, based on the received metadata, an old data value with a new data value.

Execution of programs after import for configuration changes

Arrangements for an intelligent client copy tool are provided. In a client copy procedure, access to a target client may be locked and all target data associated with the target client may be deleted. A before trigger for execution before a modifying operation on a database table may be defined. The trigger may be executed and, based on the trigger identifying a query associated with the modifying operation, access to the database table may be locked and an insert operation may be executed. Then, the trigger may be deleted. Thereafter, the modifying operation on the target client may be performed and access to the database table unlocked. A database view of the database table, including pointers to the source client, may be generated. Nonstatic data may be copied from the source client to the target client using the insert operation. After the copying, the target client may be unlocked.

Intelligent client copy tool

A method, a system, and a computer program product for transporting master data dependent configuration data for execution of a transaction. A request to import a transaction data from a first computing system to a second computing system is received. The transaction data is associated with execution of a transaction by the second computing system. Based on the received request, a determination that a first type of data is required for execution of the transaction by the second system. The first type of data includes one or more keys identifying dependencies of the first type of data on a second type of data. One or more transport objects for transporting the transaction data from the first to the second system are generated. The transaction data identifies the first and second types of data and the keys. The transaction is executed using the transport objects imported to the second system.

Transport of master data dependent customizations

Arrangements for automated versioning of configuration tables with the ability of automated rollback are provided. A database table having key fields and data fields may be retrieved. The table may be extended by adding a new key field to each row of the database table. The new key field may include a version number and a data block identifier. A view of the table may be generated and initialized by setting a current version number to zero. One or more triggering components for simulating a versioned database may be defined. The one or more triggering components may include one or more instead-of triggers used to insert, update, or delete from the database table upon an insert, update, or delete operation on the view. The versioned database may be simulated using the one or more triggering components, including an instead-of-insert trigger, an instead-of-update trigger, and/or an instead-of-delete trigger.

Automated versioning of configuration tables with rollback

A method may include a configuration engine receiving inputs for generating a customized function whose performance requires a first software application at a first host system to perform a first subprocess and a second software application at a second host system to perform a second subprocess. The configuration engine may apply a first customization to a first template to change a first manner in which data is stored in a first database table operated upon by the first software application while performing the first subprocess. A second customization may be applied to a second template to change the second manner in which data is stored in a second database table operated upon by the second software application while performing the second subprocess. The customized function may be implemented by sending the first template to the first host system and the second template to the second host system.

Centralized configuration of enterprise software applications

A method may include receiving a selection of a template defining a manner in which data is stored in one or more database tables operated upon by a software application while the software application performs a function. The selected template may be stored in a first database table. Customizations applied to the selected template are stored in a second database table. In response to the software application performing the function, a virtual customizing table may be generated to include a database view having the selected template from the first database table and the customizations from the second database table. The software application may perform the function based on the virtual customization table, which is not persisted at a database but is generated as needed. Virtualization of configuration data

In some implementations, there is provided a method that includes detecting a first database table at a first database instance and a second database table at a second database instance, the first database table and the second database table both including a set of data, the set of data being a same data for both the first database table and the second database table; in response to the detecting, deploying the second database table, such that the second database table comprises a virtual table linked to the set of data of the first database table; and deploying a first trigger and/or a second trigger to detect whether a request is received to perform a change to the set of data at the first database table at the first database instance and/or the second database table at the second database instance. Dynamic deployment of multiple database systems with data reduction

In some implementations, there is provided a method including receiving, by a centralized controller, data from a plurality of database tables at a plurality of database instances at a cloud service, wherein the data is received via a plurality of database views on the plurality of database tables; in response to receiving the data, performing, by the centralized controller, a union view of the data obtained from the plurality of database views; storing, by the centralized controller, the union view of the data as configuration metadata; and performing, by the centralized controller, at least one calculation view to update a value of the configuration metadata and to provide the updated value to at least one of the plurality of database tables at the cloud service. Technical system settings using a shared database

Methods, systems, and articles of manufacture, including computer program products, are provided for configuration monitoring. In some embodiments, there is provided a method that includes: sending a container image to a second cloud platform hosting a production system, wherein the container image includes configuration instructions to configure monitoring of an application at the production system hosted at the second cloud platform and at least one value to be monitored at the application at the production system hosted at the second cloud platform; receiving at least one message including the at least one value indicative of a current state of the application and/or the cloud platform; comparing the at least one value to at least one threshold; and in response to the at least one value exceeding the at least one threshold, sending an alert message.

Configuration monitoring in a cloud platform

In some implementations a method may be providing that includes importing database tables from a source system to a target system; obtaining, from a data dictionary, a first metadata about a foreign key association for a first database table to at least one of the database tables; obtaining, from a scan of code, a second metadata about an after import method for the first database table; in response to the second metadata representing that the after import method does not exist for the first database table, storing the first database table in the order table; and in response to the second metadata representing that the after import method does exist for the first database table, scanning for a first indication that the after import method corresponds to a read of at least one other database table before storing the first database table in the order table.

Calculating order dependency in configuration activation for complex scenarios

A method for mitigating errors in the transportation of configuration data may include identifying, at a development system, dependent configuration data associated with a first transport request. The dependent configuration data may implement a customization to a software application hosted at a production system. A reference table identifying the dependent configuration data may be sent to the production system. A missing object list identifying dependent configuration data absent from the production system may be generated at the production system based on the reference table. The missing object list may be sent to the development system where a corrective action may be performed such that the dependent configuration data identified by the missing object list as being absent from the production system is sent to the production system in the first transport request and/or a second transport request. Transportation of configuration data with error mitigation

A method for synchronizing customized templates is provided. The method may include detecting a change to a first database table associated with a first cloud-based system hosting a first cloud-based software application. The change may correspond to customizations applied to a first template deployed at the first cloud-based system. The first template may define columns and/or rows in the first database table that is operated upon by the first cloud-based software application. The customizations applied to the first template may be identified based on the first database table. The customizations may be applied to a second template deployed at a second cloud-based system hosting a second cloud-based software application. The second template may define columns and/or rows in a second database table that is operated upon by the second cloud-based software application.
