A method may include storing, at a network device, a user device identifier associated with a user device that has subscribed to access an edge service, an edge service identifier associated with the edge service, and an edge device identifier associated with an edge device at an edge network to provide the edge service; receiving, at the network device, a request to access the edge service, wherein the request includes the user device identifier and the edge service identifier; performing, by the network device, a lookup to determine the edge device identifier; and transmitting, by the network device and to the user device, the edge device identifier for accessing the edge service at the edge device.

Systems and methods for device traffic steering using edge DNS mediation service (EDMS)

A system may receive registration information regarding a user equipment (UE). The system may determine a UE usage type for the UE from a plurality of UE usage types. The plurality of UE usage types includes a first UE usage type associated with accessing first services using a cloud domain name system (DNS) and a second UE usage type associated with accessing second services using an edge DNS. The system may receive a notification indicating that the UE is requesting access to a service and identify an edge device for providing access to the service. The system may obtain information identifying the UE usage type of the UE based on UE identification information of the UE. The system may provide, to the UE, DNS information regarding using the cloud DNS or the edge DNS to obtain a network address of the edge device.

Systems and methods for edge device discovery

A device may receive software installation packages that include unique device identifiers and unique security mechanisms associated with corresponding IoT devices and include an address for the device, and may store the software installation packages in a data structure. The device may receive, based on the address for the device and from an IoT device, connection data identifying a request to connect to the device and identifying a device identifier and a security mechanism associated with the IoT device, and may utilize an MQTT protocol to authenticate the connection data based on the device identifier, the security mechanism, and the software installation packages stored in the data structure. The device may identify the IoT device as active when the connection data is authenticated, and may enable, when the connection data is authenticated, the IoT device to publish data to the device or to subscribe to data from the device.

Systems and methods for secure onboarding and communication for internet of things devices

A first device may receive, from a first client device, a request for information from a second client device, wherein the second client device is connected to a second device that is geographically separated from the first device, and the first device is hosted in a first cloud computing environment and the second device is hosted in a second cloud computing environment. A first outbound routing agent associated with the first device may route the request to a second outbound routing agent associated with the second device, wherein the second outbound routing agent routes the request to the second client device to cause the second client device to generate a response. A first inbound routing agent associated with the first device may receive the response from a second inbound routing agent associated with the second device, and may provide the response to the first client device.

Systems and methods for end-to-end request-response flow routing for geographically distributed client devices

A method, a device, and a non-transitory storage medium are described in which congestion control service is provided. The congestion control service may include determining whether congestion exists relative to packets and a queue of a network device. The congestion control service may include estimating a communication metric value when congestion exists. A differentiated service field of an Internet Protocol header of each packet is used to carry a portion of the communication metric value. The congestion control service transmits the packets, which include the communication metric value, to an end device. The end device may use the communication metric value to adjust a transmission rate of subsequently transmitted packets.
