A fiber management tray () is disclosed. The fiber management tray () includes a tray body () defining a fiber storage region () for storing excess optical fiber length (). The tray body () also includes a splice mount () for mounting at least one optical splice (). The fiber management tray () includes a restricted access region () and an unrestricted access region () on the tray body (). The splice mount () and the fiber storage region () are provided at the unrestricted access region (), and an optical splitter component () is provided at the restricted access region ().

A medical device for keeping open of a wound during surgery is described. It comprises a surgical retractor, a mechanical retracting system a force element for automatically winding an elongate wire-like element to apply tension to the elongate wire-like element.

Surgical retractor systems

A self supporting apparatus () for trays () includes a groove plate (), and a plurality of pivotally mounted trays () wherein each tray () is pivotally moveable relative to the groove plate () between a first position () and a second position (). The groove plate () includes a plurality of flexible tabs () facing the plurality of trays (). An edge () of each tray () includes a rounded surface () and a rib (), wherein each one of the ribs () engages one of the flexible tabs () to hold the trays () in one of the first or second positions (). The rib () flexes the tab () as each tray () is pivoted between the first and second positions. The tab () and rib () maintain the trays () in the selected positions until the trays () are moved.

Fiber tray organizer systems and methods

A two layer splitter tray () has a cover () which mounts to a base (). The base () and the cover () define openings for one or more splitters (). The base () and cover () include cable management devices () for managing the cable and fiber inputs and outputs, and the splices. Further splice trays () can be used with the splitter tray () for splicing to the splitter outputs. Other trays () include a partial cover () and openings for optical components and for adhesive attachment of parts.

Cable management system including splitter/filter tray

An apparatus () for mounting blown fiber tubes () includes a main housing () mountable to an end () of a flex tube (), an outer ring () positioned at an end () of the main housing (), and an inner ring () positioned adjacent to and within the outer ring () wherein the blown fiber tubes () are positioned about an outer periphery () of the inner ring (). A trigger () pushes the inner ring () to compress the blown fiber tubes () between the inner ring () and the outer ring (). The outer ring (and the inner ring () each include a plurality of spaced pockets () each sized for receipt of a blown fiber tube (). The trigger () includes a threaded member () which pushes the inner ring () outwardly. In one embodiment, portions () of the inner ring () separate during activation and press against the blown fiber tubes () to compress the blown fiber tubes () against the outer ring (). A spring () may be added to push on the inner ring (). Anti-rotation and lock features are provided for the compression, sealing and fixation mechanisms.

System and method for mounting blown fiber tubes to a housing

Optical fiber cables () are installed at an enclosure defining at least one cable port () by loading a seal block assembly () onto each optical fiber cable (); installing and/or connecting a fixation assembly () onto each optical fiber cable (); and latching the seal block assembly () to the enclosure. The cable () is secured by the fixation assembly (). The fixation assembly () retains one or more types of strength members () of the optical fiber cable (). The seal block assembly () snaps and/or clips into a locked position relative to the enclosure. A filler rod () can be used to fill an unused port in the seal block assembly (). An attachment device () can be used to connect to the filler rod () for adding a new tube () to the seal block assembly.
