A parking brake apparatus may include a parking brake actuator that has a housing that is fixed to a transmission case and a piston including a piston rod, wherein the piston is mounted in the housing to reciprocate along the housing, a lever pivotally coupled to the transmission case, wherein one end portion of the lever is pivotally connected to the piston rod, a sprag rod that is pivotally connected to the other end portion of the lever, and an operational elastic member that is disposed around a rotary shaft of the lever and elastically supports the lever in one rotational direction against the transmission case, wherein the rotary shaft is rotatably coupled to the transmission case.

Parking brake apparatus

A parking apparatus for an automatic transmission, may include a sprag shaft having a first portion and a second portion extending from the first portion, wherein an end of the first portion may be inserted in a shaft groove formed in a transmission housing, and a sprag having one end fitted around the first portion of the sprag shaft to rotate about the sprag shaft, a sprag bracket fitted around the first portion of the sprag shall to cover the end of the sprag therein, wherein the second portion protrudes through the sprag bracket and the sprag bracket may be fixed to the transmission housing, and a sprag return spring mounted on the second portion protruding through the sprag bracket, wherein an end of the sprag return spring may be supported by the transmission housing and the other end thereof may be supported by the sprag.

Parking apparatus for automatic transmission

The parking brake system that restricts or releases a parking gear by using an operational force by hydraulic pressure that is generated or removed according to whether the engine works and an operational force by an electromagnetic force, includes a position valve that outputs operational pressure supplied from a hydraulic pressure supplier, to a pressure control valve corresponding to a shift range including a parking range, a parking releasing valve that outputs operational pressure supplied from position valve at the other shift ranges than a parking range, a main actuator that releases a parking gear when an operational force is transmitted from parking releasing valve and restricts the parking gear when the operational force is removed, and/or a sub-actuator that releases the parking gear by providing an operational force to main actuator only when an engine works.
