Three-dimensional image display device

A plasma display apparatus is disclosed. The plasma display apparatus includes a plasma display panel and a filter positioned in front of the plasma display panel. The plasma display panel includes a front substrate on which an upper dielectric layer is positioned, first and second electrodes positioned between the front substrate and the upper dielectric layer, and a rear substrate on which a third electrode is positioned to intersect the first and second electrodes. The filter includes a first portion having a first degree of blackness, and a second portion that is positioned in the first portion and has a second degree of blackness larger than the first degree of blackness. A black layer is omitted between the front substrate and the upper dielectric layer.

A plasma display panel is disclosed. The plasma display panel includes a front substrate on which first and second electrodes are positioned parallel to each other, a rear substrate on which a third electrode is positioned to intersect the first and second electrodes, and a barrier rib positioned between the front and rear substrates to partition a discharge cell. At least one of the first or second electrode has a single-layered structure. Plasma display panel having a bus electrode

A plasma display apparatus comprises a scan electrode and a sustain electrode; a data electrode for intersecting the scan electrode and the sustain electrode; and a pulse controller for controlling to apply a pulse having an opposite phase to the scan electrode and the sustain electrode during a reset period and apply a negative sustain pulse to the scan electrode and the sustain electrode during a sustain period, wherein a distance between the scan electrode and the sustain electrode is longer than that between the sustain electrode and the data electrode. Therefore, a surface discharge mode can be used even when applying negative pulses to the sustain electrode in a reset period, and a size and cost of a plasma display apparatus can be reduced by applying a negative pulse of the same magnitude as a sustain voltage without a separate negative voltage source.
