A display device includes a display panel including a first area including a peripheral region and an emission region of a pixel of a first group; and a second area including a peripheral region and an emission region of a pixel of a second group; at least one insulating layer disposed on the display panel and overlapping the second area; an organic layer disposed on the at least one insulating layer and overlapping the second area; and a light blocking pattern disposed on the organic layer and overlapping the second area. A first opening corresponding to the emission region of the pixel of the second group is formed in the organic layer, and a first light blocking opening corresponding to the first opening is formed in the light blocking pattern.

Display device

A display device includes a substrate including a display area and a non-display area surrounding the display area, a light emitting structure disposed on the substrate in the display area, a thin film encapsulation layer disposed on the light emitting structure, an optical structure including a first refractive pattern and a second refractive pattern, and a partition wall disposed on the substrate in the non-display area and surrounding the second refractive pattern. The first refractive pattern is disposed on the thin film encapsulation layer, and overlaps the light emitting structure. The second refractive pattern covers the first refractive pattern, has a refractive index smaller than a refractive index of the first refractive pattern, and includes an organic material.

A display apparatus may include a substrate, a display element disposed above the substrate, an encapsulation layer disposed above the display element and including an inorganic encapsulation layer and an organic encapsulation layer, and a touch-sensing layer disposed above the encapsulation layer. The touch-sensing layer may include a first insulating layer including a side surface inclined with respect to a top surface of the encapsulation layer and including an organic material. The touch-sensing layer may include a conductive layer including sensing electrodes, and a second insulating layer covering the conductive layer and including a refractive index that may be different from that of the first insulating layer.

Display apparatus

A display apparatus includes a base layer including device counterparts and bridges, the bridges being located around the device counterparts and connecting the device counterparts to each other, an inorganic insulating layer located over the base layer and having openings exposing at least a portion of at least one of the bridges, organic layers filling the openings, wires located over the organic layers, display devices located over the device counterparts, and encapsulation films each of which has a form of an island to correspond to a corresponding one of the device counterparts, each of the encapsulation films including a first inorganic encapsulation film covering a corresponding one of the display devices, an organic encapsulation film located over the first inorganic encapsulation film, and a second inorganic encapsulation film covering the organic encapsulation film and contacting the first inorganic encapsulation film outside of the organic encapsulation film.

A method of manufacturing a display device, including forming a first sensing insulating layer on a display panel comprising an active area and a peripheral area; forming a first conductive layer on the first sensing insulating layer; forming a second sensing insulating layer to cover the first conductive layer; forming a second conductive layer comprising a conductive material on the second sensing insulating layer; forming a passivation layer on the second conductive layer; substantially simultaneously etching the second conductive layer and the passivation layer through a photolithography process; and forming a third sensing insulating layer to cover the passivation layer. The passivation layer includes an inorganic material.

Input sensing panel, display device having the same, and method of manufacturing the display device

Provided is a display device that includes a display panel including a plurality of light emitting areas and a non-light emitting area between the light emitting areas, an insulating layer disposed on the display panel, a first conductive pattern overlapping the non-light emitting area and directly disposed on the insulating layer, a color filter layer overlapping the light emitting areas and disposed on the insulating layer, a first insulating layer disposed on the first conductive pattern and the color filter layer and in which opening parts overlapping the light emitting areas are defined, and a second conductive pattern overlapping the non-light emitting area and disposed on the first insulating layer.

A display panel includes a transmission area, a boundary area adjacent to the transmission area, a display area adjacent to the boundary area, an overcoat layer in the boundary area, a light emitting element in the display area, a first refractive layer on the light emitting element and including the same material as the overcoat layer, and a second refractive layer on the first refractive layer and having a refractive index less than a refractive index of the first refractive layer.

Display device and method of providing the same

A display apparatus includes a display panel including a first electrode, a pixel defining layer including a first opening that exposes at least a portion of the first electrode, a light emitting layer disposed on the first electrode, a display device layer including a second electrode disposed on the light emitting layer, and a thin-film encapsulation layer that overlaps the display device layer, an input sensing panel disposed on the thin-film encapsulation layer and including a sensing insulation layer and a conductive layer, and an organic insulation layer that overlaps the sensing insulation layer and includes a second opening overlapping the first opening. A side surface of the organic insulation layer defines the second opening and includes protruding side surfaces inclined in different directions from a side surface of the pixel defining layer, and the side surface of the pixel defining layer defines the first opening.

A method of manufacturing a display module includes: providing a carrier substrate; providing a base layer, where a display area and a pad area are defined, on the carrier substrate; providing a circuit layer on the display area of the base layer and the pad area of the base layer; forming a though hole in the circuit layer and the base layer on the pad area; forming a conductive part by providing a conductive material from an upper surface of the circuit layer to the though hole formed in the pad area; and providing a circuit member electrically connected to the circuit layer below the base layer.

Display device comprising stack of insulating refractive layers

An organic light-emitting display device with improved light efficiency includes a plurality of pixel electrodes each corresponding one of at least a first, second, or third pixel; a pixel-defining layer covering an edge and exposing a central portion of the pixel electrodes; an intermediate layer over the pixel electrode and including an emission layer; an opposite electrode over the intermediate layer; and a lens layer over the opposite electrode and including a plurality of condensing lenses each having a circular lower surface. An area of the portion of the pixel electrode exposed by the pixel-defining layer is A, and an area of the lower surface of the condensing lens is B. For the first pixel, a ratio B/A ranges from about 1.34 to about 2.63. For the second pixel, B/A ranges from about 1.43 to about 3.00, For the third pixel, B/A ranges from about 1.30 to about 2.43.
