The plasma display panel includes a substrate, a sustain electrode located on the substrate, a first dielectric layer located on the substrate formed with the sustain electrode, and a second dielectric layer located on the first dielectric layer and having a larger dielectric constant than a dielectric constant of the first dielectric layer.

A plasma display panel and a manufacture method thereof are disclosed. The plasma display panel having a plurality of discharge pixels, the panel includes a first barrier rib, with a first width, formed to function as a boundary between the discharge pixels, a second barrier rib, with a second width, formed to function as a boundary between the discharge pixels, wherein the second width is more than the first width, and a black matrix formed over the second barrier rib.

The present invention relates to a plasma display panel and a manufacture method thereof in which a color mixture of emitted light can be prevented and a contrast characteristic can be improved. The plasma display panel includes: a first barrier rib for partitioning a plurality of sub-pixels; and a second barrier rib formed to function as a boundary between one unit pixel constituting of the plurality of sub-pixels and an adjacent unit pixel, and partition the unit pixels, wherein the second barrier rib has a greater width than the first barrier rib. The method includes the steps of: coating a first and second barrier rib paste on a dielectric material formed on a glass; and placing and exposing an irregular pattern mask on the first and second barrier rib paste to form a first barrier rib pattern and a second barrier rib pattern each having a different width.

A plasma display panel may be provided having metal and auxiliary metal electrodes formed such that brightness and efficiency are improved. A plasma display panel may include transparent ITO electrodes and metal electrodes. The transparent ITO electrodes are spaced in parallel to each other at a predetermined distance within a discharge cell. The metal electrodes are formed on the transparent ITO electrodes and in parallel to the transparent ITO electrodes. Central portions of the metal electrodes are closer to a central portion of the discharge cell than central portions of the transparent ITO electrodes.

The plasma display panel includes: transparent ITO electrodes which are spaced in parallel to each other at a predetermined distance within a discharge cell, metal electrodes which are formed in parallel to the transparent ITO electrodes and formed on verge of the transparent ITO electrodes respectively, and auxiliary metal electrodes which are formed on the transparent ITO electrodes so that they are positioned in the direction of sides of the transparent ITO electrodes which are opposite to each other, respectively.
