An apparatus for manufacturing phase masks for lens-less camera includes: a light source; a digital image mirror that receives a two-dimensional map, reflects the light irradiated from the light source with different intensities for each location and outputs reflected light; a two-dimensional map generator for generating the 2D map for adjusting the intensity of reflected light for each position such that the phase mask has a unique pattern of a different height for each position from a point spread function acquired in advance depending on the purpose of use of the phase mask; and a material holder on which a photo-curable film is disposed that is irradiated with the reflected light and cured to different depths depending on the light intensity for each position of the irradiated reflected light.

Disclosed are: a method capable of preparing, in large-scaled quantity, nonspherical/asymmetric fine particles in which the physical factors (for example, size, shape, structure, etc.) of a fine wire (for example, glass-coated metal microwires) are controlled, through a convergence of nano technology (NT) and laser machining technology; and a use thereof applicable to various fields including bioassay and security.

Provided is a method for cell isolation and morphological analysis. The method includes: providing a substrate with one or more wells; inserting cell isolation devices, each of which has one side patterned with one or more microwells, into the wells; introducing a liquid medium including cells into the wells; allowing the microwells of the cell isolation devices to come into contact with the inner surfaces of the wells such that some of the cells are isolated and trapped at the level of individual cells in the microwells; and observing the morphological changes of the isolated cells.

Biochemical carriers are provided. Each of the biochemical carriers includes: biochemical molecules having a sequence into which digital data information is encoded; a carrier particle composed of a polymer matrix and in which the biochemical molecules are connected to the surface or inside of the polymer matrix; and an index code introduced into the carrier particle. Also provided is a method for fabricating biochemical carriers. The fabrication method includes: encoding digital data into a sequence of biochemical molecules; synthesizing the biochemical molecules based on the encoded sequence; mixing the biochemical molecules with a photocurable material; curing the mixture to obtain carrier particles including a polymer matrix; and introducing an index code into the carrier particles simultaneously with or separately from the curing. Also provided is a method for restoring digital data from the biochemical carrier. The restoration method includes: analyzing the index code of the biochemical carrier; reacquiring the biochemical molecules from the biochemical carrier based on the analytical results of the index code; sequencing the biochemical molecules; and decoding the sequencing results to restore digital data.

The present invention relates to transparent disc-shaped microparticles having polydopamine-modified surfaces and cell culture using the same. When the disc-shaped microparticles coated with polydopamine according to the present invention are used in cell culture, cell adhesive properties are improved and an inverted microscope may be employed to observe cells, which are major advantages when compared to conventional spherical microcarriers.

Provided is an assay method using an encoded particle-based platform. In the assay method, first, a plurality of encoded particles having codes distinguishable from one another according to kinds of included target materials are prepared. The plurality of encoded particles are provided onto a plate including a plurality of wells by pipetting, and disposed in the plurality of wells by a self-assembly method. An analyte is provided into the plurality of wells. The codes of the plurality of encoded particles disposed in the plurality of wells are decoded. The target materials of the plurality of encoded particles are released to cause a reaction between the target materials and the analyte.

An optofluidic lithography system including a membrane, a microfluidic channel, and a pneumatic chamber is provided. The membrane may be positioned between a pneumatic chamber and a microfluidic channel. The microfluidic channel may have a height corresponding to a displacement of the membrane and have a fluid flowing therein, the fluid being cured by light irradiated from the bottom to form a microstructure. The pneumatic chamber may induce the displacement of the membrane depending on an internal atmospheric pressure thereof.

Provided is a light emitting diode (hereinafter, referred to as an LED) coating method, and more particularly, an LED coating method that can be used to coat a phosphor, a molding, etc., on an LED. The LED coating method includes (a) preparing a substrate and a plurality of LEDs arranged on the substrate; (b) applying a photoresist onto the substrate and the plurality of LEDs; and (c) selectively exposing the photoresist to light to form a first coating on surfaces of the plurality of LEDs.
