A display device having a bankless structure may comprises: a substrate on which pixels including an emission area and a non-emission area are disposed; a first conductive layer disposed on the substrate, and including a lower electrode of a storage capacitor; an active layer formed on the first conductive layer; a second conductive layer formed on the active layer, and including electrodes of at least one transistor, and an upper electrode of the storage capacitor which is formed in a single pattern with at least one of the electrodes of the at least one transistor; an overcoat layer covering the second conductive layer; and a light-emitting element may be disposed on the overcoat layer, and connected to the upper electrode of the storage capacitor through a via hole, wherein the via hole does not overlap the at least one transistor, when viewed from above.

Display device and method of manufacturing same

A display device includes a substrate, a circuit element layer and a bank region. The substrate includes a light emitting region and a non-light-emitting region. The light emitting region forms an opening region. The non-light-emitting region is adjacent to the light emitting region. The circuit element layer is formed in the non-light-emitting region. The bank layer covers a top of the circuit element layer. The bank layer is not formed in the light emitting region.

A display panel having an improved opening ratio and a manufacturing method of the display panel are discussed. In the display panel, a storage capacitor includes a bottom electrode, a buffer layer disposed on the bottom electrode, a middle electrode covering a portion of the buffer layer, a gate insulating layer covering the middle electrode and the buffer layer, and an upper electrode covering a portion of the gate insulating layer. In the buffer layer, a thickness of a first area covering the middle electrode is greater than a thickness of a second area that is in contact with the gate insulating layer.

A display device includes a substrate where a pixel is placed, and including an emission area and a wire area adjacent to the emission area; at least one wire formed on the substrate in the wire area; multiple insulation layers formed on the at least one wire; an anode electrode formed on the multiple insulation layers in the emission area; an emission layer formed on the anode electrode, and covering the anode electrode; and a cathode electrode formed on the emission layer, wherein the at least one wire formed on the substrate applies a signal to the pixel, the multiple insulation layers cover the at least one wire, and at least one of the multiple insulation layers is formed in a region of the substrate except at least one region or all regions of the emission area.

Display device having one of multiple insulation layers omitted from at least one region of an emission area

Provided is an organic light-emitting diode (OLED) display device. The OLED display device includes a substrate in which a pixel area and a non-pixel area are defined, a power line formed on the substrate, at least one insulating film covering the power line, a light-emitting element formed on the insulating film, a connection electrode connected to the power line and formed to extend along an upper surface of the insulating film, and a passivation film having a contact hole through which a portion of the connection electrode is exposed within the non-pixel area. The light-emitting element includes a first electrode, an emissive layer, and a second electrode that are sequentially stacked. The second electrode is in direct contact with the connection electrode within the contact hole.
