A tread pattern for a vehicle track, such as an endless track for earth-moving equipment, comprises a plurality of blocks. Each block includes two lateral traction portions extending in substantially opposite directions. The two lateral traction portions are longitudinally aligned and each define a pair of walls defining a plurality of steps. In some examples, each lateral traction portion may define an L-shape. For example, the lateral traction portions of each block may define a protrusion to define the 'L' shape, and, in some examples, the protrusions may extend in opposite longitudinal directions. In some examples, the lateral traction portions of each block may be the same shape, where one lateral traction portion may be oriented at about 180 degrees relative to the other lateral traction portion.

Tread pattern

An endless track for a tracked vehicle includes a track body and a plurality of cores at least partially embedded the track body, each core having at least one roller surface configured to contact an outer flange of a track roller when the track roller is engaged with an inner surface of the track body, and at least one protrusion configured to contact an inner flange of the track roller when the track roller is engaged with the inner surface of the track body. The track roller is configured to simultaneously contact a first core and an adjacent second core. A distance between the first core and the second core is selected such that about 0.2% of a flange diameter of the track roller extends perpendicular to an axis between a first contact point on the first core and a second contact point on the second core.

Vehicle track

In some examples, a shoe pad for a grouser of a vehicle track defines a slot configured to receive a bracket that is configured to attach the shoe pad to a grouser. For example, a first arm of a bracket may be inserted into the slot and a second arm of the bracket may be configured to contact an interior side of a grouser of a vehicle track to attach the shoe pad to the grouser. In some examples, the shoe pad and the bracket may be held to the grouser with the aid of a bolt, which bolt may not extend through the grouser, but, rather, may merely engage with an exterior side of the grouser. In this way, the shoe pad may be able to be attached to a grouser without requiring one or more holes to be present in the grouser, while still providing a relatively tight fit with the grouser the shoe pad is configured to cover.

Vehicle track shoe pad

A suspension system for a tracked vehicle includes a track roller configured to contact and roll relative to an inner surface of a track. In some examples, the track roller includes an axle member, a roller mounting bracket mechanically connected to the axle member, a frame mounting bracket configured to attach to a frame of the tracked vehicle, and a plurality of coil springs disposed between the roller mounting bracket and the frame mounting bracket. The plurality of coil springs is configured to reduce an impact force transferred from the track roller to the frame of the tracked vehicle.

Roller suspension system

A flex pin includes a compressible member positioned between first and second rigid members configured to be installed in a tooth and shank assembly. The first rigid member includes a locking recess defined by a front wall, a locking major surface, and a rear portion including a back wall and back gradient. At least one of the first or second rigid members includes a bonding recess configured to receive a portion of the compressible member.

Flex pin

A system includes a track and a track roller. In some examples, the track roller includes an axle member and at least three flange members. The axle member defines a first axis. The at least three flange members extend from the axle member substantially perpendicularly to the first axis. A first portion of the axle member is disposed between a first pair of adjacent flange members of the at least three flange members. A second portion of the axle member is disposed between a second pair of adjacent flange members of the at least three flange members. Each of at least two of the at least three flange members and the first and second portions are configured to contact the track when the track is mounted on a vehicle suspension system including the track roller.

A flex pin includes a compressible member disposed between first and second rigid members configured to be installed in a tooth and shank assembly. The first rigid member includes a locking recess defined by a front wall, a locking major surface, and a back gradation defining at least one step. At least one of the first or second rigid members includes a bonding recess configured to receive a portion of the compressible member.

A tread pattern for a vehicle track, such as an endless track for earth moving equipment, comprises a plurality of groups of tread lugs. Each group of tread lugs may comprise one or more tread lugs defining a generally 'S' shape or a variation thereof. A vehicle track comprising the tread pattern may also comprise a support core that is substantially centered with a center of a group of tread lugs.
