A computed tomography (CT) image processing apparatus and a CT image processing method are provided. The CT image processing apparatus may generate a virtual monochromatic image (VMI) by applying a weight to each of first, second, and third images corresponding to three different energy ranges. The CT image processing apparatus may set a region of interest (ROI) on a CT image, determine a VMI at an energy level at which a CNR of the ROI is at a maximum among a plurality of VMIs, and display the determined VMI.

Tomographic image processing apparatus and method

A method includes: controlling a first layer of a panel so that first electrical signals generated based on the first driving signal are applied to first cells of the first layer, and light incident on the first layer is modulated into a first modulated light according to the first electrical signals; and controlling a second layer of the panel so that second electrical signals generated based on the second driving signal are applied to second cells of the second layer, and the first modulated light received from the first layer is modulated into a second modulated light according to the second electrical signals. A modulation resolution of the second modulated light output from the second layer is greater than that of the first modulated light due to at least two second cells of the second layer that modulate light modulated by one first cell of the first layer.

An X-ray apparatus includes: a collimator for adjusting an X-ray irradiation region; a data obtainer for obtaining position information of a target in an object based on an electrode signal sensed from electrodes attached to the object; and a controller for setting first coordinates indicating a position of the target on a first coordinate system with respect to the object based on the position information, transforming the first coordinates to second coordinates on a second coordinate system with respect to an X-ray image of the object, and adjusting a position of the collimator based on the second coordinates.

An image processing method includes configuring a noise reduction filter for each of pixels in an image in accordance with a linear noise model of the image, based on different levels of a noise effect caused to a corresponding pixel, among the pixels, by other pixels, among the pixels and adjacent to the corresponding pixel. The method further includes performing noise reduction filtering on each of the pixels, using the noise reduction filter for each of the pixels, to obtain a noise reduced image.

The system includes a light source that emits light; an amplifier that amplifies the light output from the light source; an optical converter that shifts a frequency of the amplified light and compresses a spectrum of the amplified light; and a controller that controls a current signal applied to the light source such that a repetition rate of the light output from the light source is adjusted, so that an intensity of the amplified light is adjusted, to thereby adjust a position of the compressed spectrum with respect to a predetermined frequency band.

Frequency shifting optical swept lightsource system and apparatus to which the system is applied

A method and apparatus are provided to generate tomography images that performs the method. The apparatus and method are configured to determine a basis pattern from modulated phases of incident rays from a spatial light modulator according to a pattern of arranged pixels. The apparatus and method are further configured to perform spatial shift modulation shifting an arrangement of the pixels vertically or horizontally with respect to the basis pattern to obtain shift patterns of the basis pattern. The apparatus and method are configured to generate tomography images for the basis pattern and the shift patterns using spectrum signals of rays obtained from the incident rays passing through the spatial light modulator and entering a subject. The apparatus and method are configured to select a pattern that generates a clearest tomography image of the subject based on the generated tomography images.
