The polycarbonate resin composition exhibits good properties in terms of color, impact resistance, stiffness and the like even after irradiation with ionizing radiation.

The polycarbonate resin composition includes: a polycarbonate resin; a polyalkylene glycol compound; and an anthraquinone colorant, wherein the polycarbonate resin composition has a yellow index (YI) of about &#x2212;2 to about 2, as measured in accordance with ASTM D1925 after irradiating an about 3.2 mm thick specimen with &#x3b3;-rays at about 25 kGy and leaving the specimen for 7 days and has an a* value of about &#x2212;2 to about 2 and a b* value of &#x2212;2 to about 2 as measured in accordance with ASTM D2244 after irradiating an about 3.2 mm thick specimen with &#x3b3;-rays at about 25 kGy and leaving the specimen for 7 days. The polycarbonate resin composition can exhibit excellent properties in terms of color, transparency, and impact resistance after being irradiated with ionizing radiation.

A polycarbonate resin composition includes: a polycarbonate resin; a polyalkylene glycol compound; and an organic-inorganic hybrid pigment, and has a yellow index (YI) of about &#x2212;2 to about 4 after irradiation with gamma rays, as measured in accordance with ASTM D1925 after irradiating an about 3 mm thick specimen with gamma rays at about 25 kGy and leaving the specimen for 7 days. Disclosed herein is a light guide plate formed by injection molding of an aromatic polycarbonate resin that is a polymer of an aromatic dihydroxy compound and a diaryl carbonate. The aromatic dihydroxy compound and the diaryl carbonate are present in a mole ratio of about 1:1.02 to about 1:1.35, and the aromatic polycarbonate resin has a weight average molecular weight from about 10,000 g/mol to about 18,000 g/mol and includes about 5 mol % to about 30 mol % of terminal hydroxyl groups relative to total moles of terminal groups. A copolymerized polycarbonate resin includes a repeat unit represented by Formula 1; a repeat unit represented by Formula 2; and a repeat unit represented by Formula 3, wherein the repeat unit represented by Formula 1 is different than the repeat unit represented by Formula 3, and wherein Formula 1, 2, and 3 are the same as defined in the specification. The copolymerized polycarbonate resin can have excellent properties in terms of chemical resistance, thermal resistance, and/or external appearance.
