A cooking apparatus includes a main body having a cooking chamber, a coupler having a pair of pressure surfaces and rotatably provided, and a tray provided-to-be withdrawn from the cooking chamber by sliding movement. The tray has a pair of seating projections each capable of being brought into contact with the pair of pressure surfaces and being rotatably pushed by the coupler. Therefore it is possible to easily switch between the rotatable state of the tray and the state of sliding movement of the tray.

The cooking appliance includes a cooking compartment, a cooling fan disposed at an upper portion of the cooking compartment to suction outside air, and a lamp module configured to illuminate an inside of the cooking compartment and disposed adjacent to the cooling fan to exchange heat with the outside air suctioned by the cooling fan.

Disclosed herein is a cooking appliance having an improved cooling mechanism. The cooking appliance includes a first cavity forming a first cooking chamber and a second cavity forming a second cooking chamber, and has a cooling mechanism for cooling both the first cavity and the second cavity. A separate third cooling channel is formed to exhaust air from the first cooking chamber. A vent for the first and second cavities may be formed at a lower portion of the second cavity such that air may be exhausted via the vent.

The oven of the present disclosure includes a monitoring unit for monitoring the cooking room and monitoring the data generated by the monitoring and transmitting the data generated by the monitoring the cooking room to the external device through the network so that the user may not directly check the visible portion of the oven, so that the convenience of the user may be improved.
