Disclosed is a cleaning unit comprising a variable brush portion. The cleaning unit according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises a shaft capable of reciprocating along an axial direction, wherein a first cam protrudes from the outer circumferential surface of the shaft. In addition, the brush portion is arranged on the outer circumferential surface of a body member surrounding the shaft, and the brush portion includes a second cam engaged with the first cam. When the shaft is moved in the axial direction, the first cam pushes the second cam in a radial direction, whereby the brush portion may protrude in the radial direction. That is, as the shaft reciprocates in the axial direction, the length of the brush portion protruding from the outer circumferential surface of the body member may vary.

Cleaning unit comprising agitator

The present invention relates to a robot cleaner. The robot cleaner comprises: a cleaner body equipped with a driving wheel; and a cleaning nozzle mounted inside a downwardly open opening portion in a lower portion of the cleaner body so as to be able to ascend and descend. The cleaning nozzle can be supported by a plurality of ascending/descending guides and a plurality of auxiliary ascending/descending guides so that the cleaning nozzle can ascend and descend relative to the cleaner body according to changes in the height of a cleaning surface on which the cleaner body travels. Accordingly, the cleaning to nozzle rises upon being pressed by a compressible floor such as a carpet, thus solving the problem of the cleaning nozzle catching on the cleaning surface. Therefore, travel performance can be improved, and the load on a brush driving part can be reduced.

Robot cleaner with ascending/descending guides

The present invention relates to a robotic cleaner comprising: a cleaner body which has a plurality of guide holders provided therein and performs self-driving; and a suction nozzle which receives an agitator therein, has guide protrusions longitudinally protruding from both sidewalls thereof toward the plurality of guide holders and received in the plurality of guide holders, respectively, and is up-and-down movably and back-and-forth swingably mounted to the cleaner body, whereby the driving performance and cleaning performance of the cleaner can be improved.

Robotic cleaner

A robot cleaner includes a main body that autonomously travels, a suction nozzle configured to move up and down or swing with respect to the main body, and a support to support the suction nozzle. The robot cleaner may respond to a change in a height of a floor to improve travel performance and may respond better to obstacles. Even when a height difference of the floor is large, cleaning performance may be improved by maintaining contact and increasing a suction pressure of the suction nozzle.

The rotation guide groove extends at a predetermined angle with respect to the longitudinal direction of the shaft, and as the shaft reciprocates, the driven part is guided to rotate by means of the rotation guide groove, and the brush is rotated by means of the rotation of the driven part. The cleaning unit may include a robot cleaner or a cleaner operated by means of a user's operation.

A method for adaptively operating a cleaning robot based on height difference between floors and the cleaning robot are provided, and according to an embodiment of the present disclosure, the cleaning robot that adaptively operates based on the height difference between the floors includes a central controller that controls a height adjuster that controls a height of a floor cleaner based on height information related to a space stored in a map storage and height information sensed by a sensor.

The dishwasher may achieve improved drying performance via adjustment in the temperature of air to be discharged, and may reduce power consumption via omission of a rinsing water heating course.
