A clutch unit of an automatic transmission having first and second rotation elements may include a spline gear connected to the first rotation element, a clutch drum having an internal circumference spline-engaged with the spline gear to be movable in an axial direction, a clutch hub fixedly connected to a second rotation element, a plurality of clutch plates spline-engaged with the clutch drum, a plurality of clutch disks alternatingly disposed between the plurality of clutch plates and spline-engaged with the clutch hub, a supporting portion fixed to a transmission housing of the automatic transmission and configured to support the plurality of clutch plates, and a piston disposed in an interior of the transmission housing to form a hydraulic pressure chamber with the transmission housing, configured to have a rolling contact with the clutch drum interposing a bearing, and configured to transmit a pressurizing force to the plurality of clutch plates and the clutch disks through the clutch drum.

Clutch unit for automatic transmission

A hydraulic pressure clutch includes a first connecting hub on an input shaft, an inner sleeve, a boss, an outer sleeve, a clutch drum, a second connecting hub, a first piston forming a first piston chamber together with the second connecting hub, first clutch plates disposed on an outer protrusion and selectively pushed by the first piston along an axial direction, first friction disks disposed alternately with the first clutch plates, a first balance wall forming a first balance chamber, a second piston forming a second piston chamber, second clutch plates selectively pushed by the second piston along an axial direction, second friction disks disposed alternately with the second clutch plates, and a second balance wall forming a second balance chamber, wherein the first piston penetrates through the outer protrusion for pushing the first clutch plates.

Hydraulic clutch

A hydraulic pressure clutch includes a first connecting hub including first, second, and third oil holes, a transmission case having first, second, and third oil supply portions, an inner sleeve having first, second, and third oil passages, a boss having fourth, fifth, and sixth oil passages, an outer sleeve having seventh and eighth oil passages, a clutch drum, a second connecting hub, a first piston forming a first piston chamber, a plurality of first clutch plates, a plurality of first friction disks disposed alternately with the first clutch plates, a first balance wall forming a first balance chamber, a second piston forming a second piston chamber, a plurality of second clutch plates, a plurality of second friction disks disposed alternately with the second clutch plates, and a second balance wall forming a second balance chamber, wherein the first and second balance chambers are supplied simultaneously through one oil line.

A clutch system selectively transmitting torque in an automatic transmission according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention may include: a rotation axis rotated by the torque; at least one plate disposed at an exterior of the rotation axis and moved along an axial direction of the rotation axis; at least one disk alternately disposed with the plate and moved along the axial direction of the rotation axis, the disk having at least one wave along a radial direction thereof; and a piston applying force to the disk and the plate along the axial direction of the rotation axis such that a frictional force is generated between the plate and the disk. Therefore, the clutch system of this invention has advantages of enhanced durability and operability.
