A linear compressor and a method for manufacturing a linear compressor are provided. A piston of a linear compressor may include a surface treatment body made of aluminum or an aluminum alloy; a first surface treatment provided on an outer surface of the surface treatment body by a first vacuum deposition process; and a second surface treatment provided on an outer surface of the first surface treatment by a second vacuum deposition process.

Linear compressor and method for manufacturing a linear compressor

A linear compressor is provided that may include a shell provided with a refrigerant inlet; a cylinder provided inside of the shell to form a compression space; a piston that reciprocates inside of the cylinder to compress a refrigerant in the compression space; and a motor assembly that provides a drive force to the piston and provided with a permanent magnet. The piston may include a piston body having a cylindrical outer circumferential surface and a surface-treated area, which may be processed with a material having a predetermined hardness value, and a valve support provided at an end of the piston body and having a suctioning hole be in communication with the compression space. The valve support may form a first non-surface-treated area, which is not surface-treated.

Linear compressor

A linear compressor is provided. The linear compressor may include a frame coupled to a cylinder, a gas hole defined in the frame, and a gas pocket that communicates with the gas hole and transfers a refrigerant gas to the cylinder.

A linear compressor is provided that may include a compressor casing including a cylindrical shell and a pair of shell that covers both ends of the shell; a frame fixed to an inside of the shell; a cylinder accommodated in the shell and defining a compression space for a refrigerant; a piston inserted into the cylinder to linearly reciprocate in an axial direction of the cylinder and compress the refrigerant provided to the compression space; a motor assembly including a motor that provides power for a linear reciprocating motion to the piston, and a motor support that supports the motor; a spring that allows a resonant motion of the piston; a back cover that supports the spring; and a stopper provided in one of the pair of shell covers and contacting the back cover when the motor assembly vibrates in a radial direction of the cylinder, thereby preventing the motor assembly from colliding with the shell.

A linear compressor and a linear motor are provided. The linear motor may include a first stator, a second stator spaced apart from the first stator, and a permanent magnet disposed to be movable in a first direction between the first and second stators. The first stator may include a bobbin with a coil wound thereon, and a stator core that surrounds the bobbin. The stator core may be located between the second stator and the coil and may include first and second magnetic poles spaced apart from each other. One portion or entire portions of each of the first and second magnetic poles may have a constant magnetic path width within a range of a movement trajectory of the permanent magnet.

Linear compressor and linear motor

A cooling system and a refrigerator including a cooling system are provided. The cooling system may include a linear compressor including a reciprocating piston and a cylinder that accommodates the piston and having an outer circumferential surface, into which a refrigerant may be introduced, a refrigerant filter device provided in the linear compressor to filter the refrigerant introduced into one or more gas inflow of the cylinder, a condenser that condenses the refrigerant compressed in the linear compressor, and a dryer that removes foreign substances or oil from the refrigerant condensed in the condenser. The dryer may include a dryer body including a refrigerant inflow, through which the refrigerant condensed in the condenser may be introduced, and a refrigerant discharge, through which the refrigerant may be discharged, and an adsorption filter accommodated in the dryer body to filter the oil in the refrigerant introduced through the refrigerant inflow.

A linear compressor, a shell for a linear compressor, and a method for manufacturing a shell of a linear compressor are provided. The shell may have at least one portion having a multilayer plate, in which at least two plates may be stacked in a direction substantially perpendicular to an axis of a piston so as to accommodate a cylinder, the piston, which may be reciprocated within the cylinder, and a motor assembly directly connected to the piston to provide a drive force to the piston. At least one resonator may be disposed in or at at least a portion of an inner surface of the shell.

A linear compressor is provided that may include a shell including a refrigerant inlet, a cylinder provided within the shell, a piston reciprocated within the cylinder, the piston having a flow space in which a refrigerant may flow, a motor assembly that provides a drive force, the motor assembly including a permanent magnet, a flange that extends from an end of the piston in a radial direction, the flange having an opening that communicates with the flow space of the piston and a coupling hole defined outside of the opening, a support coupled to the coupling surface of the flange to support a plurality of springs, and at least one reinforcing rib that protrudes from the coupling surface to guide deformation of the flange while the flange and the support are coupled to each other.

A linear compressor is provided. The linear compressor may include a shell including a refrigerant inlet, a cylinder provided within the shell, a piston that reciprocates within the cylinder, and a suction muffler provided movable together with the piston. The suction muffler may include a muffler main body that defines a refrigerant passage, a main body insertion portion press-fitted into the muffler main body, and a piston insertion portion press-fitted into the muffler main body to extend into the piston. The piston insertion portion may correspond to the main body insertion portion in configuration.

The linear compressor may include a shell having a refrigerant inlet, a cylinder provided within the shell, a piston that reciprocates within the cylinder to compress a refrigerant, a motor assembly that provides a drive force to the piston, a support provided for the magnet assembly, to support an end of a permanent magnet, and a frame engaged with the cylinder to support the motor assembly, and that includes a contact to absorb impact when the piston collides against the support.

The linear compressor may include a shell having a refrigerant inlet, a cylinder arranged in the shell, a piston that reciprocates in the cylinder, a motor assembly that provides a drive force to the piston and having a permanent magnet, and a frame arranged on or at a side of the motor assembly. The cylinder may include a first outer circumference with which an inner stator of the motor assembly may be combined, and a second outer circumference that extends from the first outer circumference and forcibly press-fit into the frame.

A linear compressor is provided. The linear compressor may include a shell having a refrigerant inlet, a cylinder provided inside the shell, a piston that reciprocates inside the cylinder to compress a refrigerant, a motor assembly that provides a drive force to the piston, and a magnet assembly that delivers the drive force to the piston. The magnet assembly may include a magnet frame having a cylindrical shape. A permanent magnet may be installed in or on the magnet frame. A coupling plate may be coupled to a side of the magnet frame and may include a flange coupled to an end portion of the permanent magnet.
