Provided are a next generation in-building relay system and method. The system includes: a 5G signal providing unit configured to down-convert a millimeter wave radio frequency signal to an intermediate frequency signal; a 5G master hub unit configured to convert the intermediate frequency signal into a radio over fiber (RoF) signal and transmit the RoF signal; an optical coupling unit configured to couple a digital optical signal output from a master hub unit and the analog optical signal output from the 5G master hub unit and transmit the coupled signal to an optical cable; and an optical distribution unit configured to separate the digital optical signal and the analog optical signal from the coupled signal, transmit the digital optical signal to a remote optical relay unit, and transmit the analog optical signal to distributed remote units.

Next generation in-building relay system and method

Provided are a 5G in-building relay system and a 5G in-building relay method for sharing an RF cable to provide a 5G communication service in the building. The 5G in-building relay system includes: a 5G signal providing device for converting RF signals of a 5G into IF signals and providing the IF signals through a pre-built RF cable of the building; an MHU for receiving and transmitting the IF signals; a coupling device for combining the IF signals with radio signals other than the 5G received from an ROU pre-built in the building and providing the combined signals through the RF cable; a distribution device for receiving the combined signals and separating and distributing the IF signals of the 5G from the combined signals; and a DRU for converting the distributed IF signals into millimeter-wave RF signals and wirelessly transmitting the RF signals to a 5G terminal.

A system for managing a base station in a next generation mobile communication service includes a plurality of remote base stations configured to provide data transmission to a plurality of user terminals in a next generation mobile communication system; a centralized base station configured to perform interlocking among the plurality of remote base stations and perform resource allocation and scheduling for each user terminal; and a remote interlocking element configured to transmit corresponding control and data information to the plurality of remote base stations according to beamforming information and resource allocation information allocated by the centralized base station, and transmit channel information of a user terminal, which is received from the plurality of remote base stations, to the centralized base station.
