A reduction device using a liquid metal, which can improve the oxidation reaction of a reducing agent for reducing a material to be reduced using a liquid metal, while simultaneously effectively controlling the same. The reduction device according to the present invention comprises: a storage unit in which the liquid metal is supplied and stored; a reducing agent positioned in the storage unit; a reduction unit positioned on a side of the storage unit, which receives a material to be reduced and enables fluid communication with the storage unit; and a liquid metal storage unit. According to the present invention, a reducing agent, which has strong reducing ability, is sublimated using a liquid metal, thereby further improving the reduction capability, and the same is also controlled precisely, thereby removing restrictions on use resulting from the explosive reaction of the reducing agent and guaranteeing efficient operation.

The boiler using a liquid metal as a working medium according to the present invention is comprises: a combustion furnace, in which the working medium is supplied and heated; a heat exchange part, which is connected to the combustion furnace and to which the working medium heated in the combustion furnace is supplied; a heat medium injection part, which is positioned in the heat exchange part; and a supply part, which is connected to the heat exchange part and supplies the heat medium to the heat medium injection part. In the heat exchange part, the heat exchange between the heat medium supplied to the heat medium injection part and the heated working medium is performed. The heat medium reaches high temperature and high pressure states at a threshold point or higher by means of the heat exchange. In addition, the working medium is a liquid metal.

The present invention relates to a gasification apparatus and a gasification method, the apparatus comprising: a reactor for gasifying fuel; a fuel supply part for supplying fuel to the reactor; and a dispersion plate for spraying fuel, so as to enhance reactivity in the reactor, and aerosolizing moisture within fuel, thereby uniformly supplying fuel to the reactor, wherein the dispersion plate, in a state of being charged by receiving power, is configured to electrostatically spray fuel and a gasification agent, thereby producing a micro droplet, and atomizing the same. Accordingly, it is possible to aerosolize fuel using a boiling phenomenon or an electrostatic spray phenomenon, and uniformly supply fuel to the reactor. Also, it is possible to obtain the effect of increasing gasification reaction efficiency by preheating and reforming fuel and moisture through mid-low temperature oxidation prior to supplying the same the reactor.

An indoor location system having a sensor and a method for checking an indoor location using the indoor location system are disclosed. The method includes: calculating a current location coordinate by using nodes; calculating a first movement distance by comparing the current location coordinate and a stored previous location coordinate; calculating a second movement distance through a sensor; and storing the current location coordinate instead of the previous location coordinate when the distance between the first movement distance and the second movement distance is smaller than a predetermined threshold value. Accordingly, an accurate location of an object can be recognized indoors and an error can be prevented from being caused when the location of the object is recognized.

A method and apparatus for measuring blood glucose concentration by irradiating blood vessels with electromagnetic radiation, where the method and apparatus uses near-infrared radiation diffuse-reflection laser spectroscopy. This invention uses electromagnetic radiation of a wavelength that is transmitted through the skin to the measurement region, for example, a blood vessel. Since skin is mostly composed of water (H.sub.2 O), which absorbs infrared radiation in nearly the entire infrared spectral range, only radiation from a certain, narrow portion of the infrared spectral range called the 'water transmission window' is transmitted through the skin. The present invention uses electromagnetic radiation with a wavelength of 1.3 .mu.m- 1.8 .mu.m radiation from a semiconductor diode laser. When electromagnetic radiation of these wavelengths irradiates the skin, light is transmitted through the skin to the blood vessel where the light interacts with the heterogeneous components of the blood. The light transmitted to the blood is then diffusely reflected by the blood. The reflected light will have been modulated by the characteristic vibrations of the molecules which are major components of blood. The reflected light is detected and provided as a digital signal to a one-chip microcomputer. The one-chip microcomputer calculates a blood glucose concentration from the digital signal by reference to a calibration curve stored in the memory of the one-chip microcomputer. The one-chip microcomputer causes the calculated blood glucose concentration to be displayed on a digital display.
