A pressure detection module may be provided that includes: a first electrode and a second electrode which are located on an insulation layer; and an elastic foam. The elastic foam is located between the first and the second electrodes and a reference potential layer located apart from the pressure detection module. A capacitance between the first electrode and the second electrode is changed according to a relative distance change between the reference potential layer and the first and the second electrodes through a transformation of the elastic foam. A magnitude of a pressure which causes the elastic foam to be transformed is detected according to the capacitance change.

Pressure detection module and touch input device including the same

A touch input device may be provided which includes at least one cover and a display module disposed under the cover, and detects a pressure of a touch input to the cover. The touch input device includes: a housing which includes a bottom plate on which a battery and a mainboard are disposed; and a mid-frame which is disposed within the housing, is disposed under the display module, and is disposed on the battery and on the mainboard. The mid-frame includes a guide member which is disposed on a bottom surface of the mid-frame and is coupled to the bottom plate of the housing.

Touch input device for detecting touch pressure

A touch input device may be provided that includes: a mid-frame; a cover disposed on the mid-frame; a display module disposed between the mid-frame and the cover; and a sensor which is disposed between the mid-frame and the cover and detects at least any one of a touch and a pressure. The mid-frame includes a base plate which includes a top surface and a bottom surface. The mid-frame includes a reinforcing member which is disposed on the top surface of the base plate and is configured to reinforce a strength of the base plate.

A touch pressure sensitivity correction method may be provided that includes: defining a plurality of reference points on a touch sensor panel; generating a reference data for a capacitance change amount sensed by applying the same pressure to the plurality of reference points; generating an interpolated data corresponding to a capacitance change amount for a random point present between the plurality of reference points; calculating, on the basis of the reference data and interpolated data, with respect to the reference points and the random point respectively, a correction factor for correcting a sensitivity of a touch input device to a target value; and correcting uniformly for the touch pressure sensitivity of the touch input device by applying the calculated correction factor to each corresponding point.
