There are provided a device for monitoring an optical link fault and a method thereof. According to an embodiment of the invention, the device for monitoring an optical link fault and the method thereof apply an optical link fault monitoring signal to an optical link and precisely identify a type of the fault using waveforms of a reflected signal returned from the optical link or a wavelength dependence of reflected signal intensity.

Device for monitoring optical link fault and method thereof

A method and apparatus for searching a forwarding table are provided. The apparatus includes: a data storage unit storing a forwarding table including a plurality of forwarding entries aligned in the order of MAC address values and stored in each group after being classified into a plurality of groups and a plurality of forwarding databases having hash keys corresponding to the groups and; a hashing unit transforming an externally input MAC address into a hash key and selecting a search group and a search-forwarding entry by respectively using some bits and the other bits of the hash key; and a port information output unit outputting output port information of the search-forwarding entry, when the input MAC address is the same as a MAC address extracted from the search-forwarding entry and outputting output port information after searching and acquiring a forwarding entry having the input MAC address while dividing a search area in the search group, when the input MAC address is different from the extracted MAC address. Accordingly, it is possible to speedily search a forwarding table.

Method and apparatus for searching forwarding table

A method for realizing, in a fiber amplifier with three stages of amplifiers, automatic gain control in which a constant gain is obtained when channels are varied, and automatic level control in which a constant output per channel is obtained when a light power is varied because of variations in span loss. A light power or another light power of a specific wavelength is monitored to determine when variations in these light powers take place, current values of pump laser diodes appropriate for an input is read from a lookup table, and pump laser diodes are driven. During this operation, a pump power of the first stage amplifier is constantly maintained, and those of the second or third stage amplifier are controlled.

Fiber amplifier and control method thereof

Disclosed is a device for metallizing uranium oxide and recovering uranium, which reacts uranium oxide with a lithium metal to product uranium metal powder, and filters the resulting product using a porous filter to separate the uranium metal powder from lithium chloride molten liquid to recover the uranium metal powder. The device includes a heating furnace including at least one first heating unit, and a reactor includes a reaction vessel having a discharging valve hole located at the center of a bottom thereof and a conical bottom tapered to the discharging valve hole, a sealing lid for sealing the reaction vessel airtight, an argon gas inlet port for feeding argon gas into the reactor therethrough, and an argon gas outlet port for venting argon gas from the reactor therethrough. A valve assembly controls the discharging valve hole of the reaction vessel, and a plurality of agitators mix a mixture in the reactor. A lithium metal feeder includes a second heating unit and is removably installed through the sealing lid. A cooling jacket is set in the sealing lid, and a porous filter is located under the reactor in the heating furnace. Further, a molten salt recovery tank is positioned under the porous filter in the heating furnace.
