A method for calculating compensation data includes, a first luminance value that is calculated by supplying a first gray scale voltage to pixels and measuring a luminance. A second luminance value is calculated by supplying a second gray scale voltage to the pixels and measuring a luminance. Compensation coefficients are calculated using the first and second gray scale voltages and the first and second luminance values. Compensation data are calculated based on the compensation coefficients.

An organic light emitting display includes a scan driving unit applying scan signals and light emitting control signals through a plurality of scan lines and light emitting control lines, a data driving unit applying data signals through a plurality of data lines, a power supply supplying an electric power to a plurality of power supply entries, a pixel unit including a plurality of pixels receiving the plurality of scan signals, light emitting control signals, data signals, and the electric power to display an image, the pixel unit being divided into a plurality of regions corresponding to the plurality of power supply entries, and a current limiting circuit using data current values accumulated region by region in the plurality of regions to output current limiting signals for limiting brightness of the pixel unit.

An organic light emitting diode display having improved display quality is disclosed. The organic light emitting diode display includes pixels positioned at intersections of scan lines and data lines, an emission control unit for controlling emission times of the pixels according to a second emission width signal indicating emission time information of the pixels, and an emission time controller for dividing the pixels into a plurality of blocks and for generating the second emission width signal according to a brightness history of the blocks.

A coarse lock detector for a delayed locked loop (DLL) is disclosed. The coarse lock detector includes multiple detection cells. Each detection cell receives a delayed clock phase and an output of a previous detection cell as inputs. To increase time for the output of the previous detection cell to propagate, the detection cells are arranged in groups such that the output from the previous detection cell is generated by a detection cell which is more than one detection cell previous.

An organic light emitting diode (OLED) display is disclosed. One aspect includes a pixel unit including a plurality of pixels formed at portions at which scanning lines and data lines intersect with each other; a scan driver for supplying scan signals to the scanning lines. The OLED display further comprises a data driver for supplying data signals to the data lines; and a data compensation unit changing the input data using a correction coefficient stored as a unit of a pixel block including a plurality of pixels and supplying the changed input data to the data driver. Coarse lock detector and delay-locked loop including the same

A technique for removing vertical stripe artifacts generated in a Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) panel, more particularly a technique for compensating for and removing an inter-channel offset voltage of a column driver, which causes the vertical stripe artifacts, is disclosed. An offset voltage generated in each channel for driving each pixel of the LCD panel is detected for a whole signal path and offset voltages detected for all channels are compared and extracted according to a given timing sequence by a common signal comparator, thereby preventing the offset of the detection comparator and reducing a chip size of the column driver in contrary to the prior art. Moreover, an inter-channel offset voltage is detected in a digital circuit mode, thereby compensating for process variations in a semiconductor chip manufacturing process in circuit terms.
