A liquid crystal display device includes a backlight assembly including a light source that generates a light and an optical sheet that transmits the light, and a display panel disposed on the backlight assembly. The optical sheet includes a light-transmitting portion and an extending portion that are formed as a unitary single unit, and further includes a side light-blocking portion that is combined with the extending portion. The light-transmitting portion extends in a first direction, and the extending portion extends continuously from an end of the light-transmitting portion in a second direction that is different from the first direction.

Liquid crystal display device

A light emitting diode ('LED') backlight assembly. The LED backlight assembly has a bottom container which has a bottom plate and a side edge surrounding the bottom plate, a plurality of light emitting diode printed circuit boards ('LED-PCBs') on the bottom plate, and a connector which is closely located to edge located LEDs. The connector of the LED-PCB is closely located to an LED driving board, which is disposed at a lateral space of a lateral part of the bottom container to limit a vertical thickness of the backlight light assembly.

A flat panel display device includes a bottom plate, a bottom sidewall which is extended upward from the bottom plate, and a first and second hook which protrude outward from the bottom sidewall, a mold frame includes a first protrusion including a guide hole therein and a second protrusion including a notch therein, a display panel is on the mold frame, and a top chassis includes a bezel portion which is opened at a center, a top sidewall which is extended downward from the bezel portion, a first and a second engagement hole at a position which respectively correspond to the first and second protrusion. The first protrusion is in the first engagement hole and the first hook is in the guide hole. The second protrusion is in the second engagement hole and the second hook is in the notch and in the second engagement hole.

Flat panel display device and method for manufacturing the same

A liquid crystal display ('LCD') with a backlight assembly includes a liquid crystal ('LC') panel displaying an image, a backlight assembly providing light to the LC panel, a middle frame disposed between the LC panel and the backlight assembly, and a top frame to complete the LCD assembly. The backlight assembly includes a plurality of light sources, an optical member, a bottom frame and a plurality of optical member supporters. The optical member supporters each support the optical member and are mutually spaced apart from each other to effectively dissipate heat and reduce the weight of the LCD.

Backlight assembly, liquid crystal display having the same, and manufacturing method thereof

A backlight assembly includes a plurality of lamps, a receiving container and a conductive member. Each of the lamps includes a lamp body, a first electrode part disposed at a first end portion of the lamp body and a second electrode part disposed at a second end portion of the lamp body, the second end portion being opposite to the first end portion. The receiving container includes a bottom plate on which the lamps are disposed and a sidewall disposed at edge portions of the bottom plate to define a receiving space. The receiving container has a plurality of grounding portions formed on the bottom plate or the sidewalls. The conductive member electrically connects the second electrode part to one of the grounding portions.

Backlight assembly and display device having the same

An LCD device includes an LCD panel for displaying images, a printed circuit board connected to one side of the LCD panel and supplying a driving signal to the LCD panel, and including a connection hole, a bottom chassis and a middle mold receiving the LCD panel, and a top chassis protecting the LCD panel and the middle mold, wherein the bottom chassis includes a hook fixing the source PCB.

Liquid crystal display device and method of manufacturing the same

A backlight assembly includes a receiving container, lamps, a diffusion plate and a lamp-fixing member. The receiving container includes a bottom plate and sidewalls together providing a receiving space. The lamps are arranged substantially parallel to each other on the bottom plate. The diffusion plate is disposed over the lamps. The lamp-fixing member includes a body portion extending substantially perpendicular to the lamps, a buffer protruding upwardly from the body portion, a diffusion plate supporting portion protruding from the buffer to support the diffusion plate and a lamp-fixing portion formed at the body portion to fix the lamps. Therefore, the buffer having elasticity is formed at an area at which the diffusion plate supporting portion is formed, so that rubbing between the diffusion plate and the diffusion plate supporting portion may be reduced.

Backlight assembly, liquid crystal display apparatus having the same and method of manufacturing lamp-fixing member

An ion implanter having means for scanning an ion beam on a wafer is provided, wherein the scanning means, on which the wafer is mounted, moves the wafer in a region where the ion beam is irradiated. A detecting means, which is fixedly mounted adjacent to the scanning means, detects the ion beam that is overly scanned out of the scanning means. The detecting means has an inclined surface so that a portion of the detecting means adjacent to the scanning means is positioned below a surface of the wafer that is disposed on the scanning means. Accordingly, the ion implanter may prevent the wafer in the scanning means from being polluted with sputtering particles generated from a surface of the scanning means.
