A refrigerator includes a main body having a storage compartment formed therein, and a cooling module forming a machine compartment in which a compressor is disposed and detachably mounted to the main body. The cooling module includes a module body forming the machine compartment, a condenser of an L shape disposed on one side of the compressor and including a first part corresponding to a portion of a rear surface of the machine compartment and a second part corresponding to one side of the machine compartment. The condenser is vertically mounted on a base plate disposed below the module body. A module cover is provided to cover the rear of the machine compartment, and a suction flow path includes first and second suction flow paths.

Refrigerator

A refrigerant recovery operation method for use in a refrigerator in which a freezing chamber and a refrigerating chamber are independently cooled is disclosed. The refrigerator and the method for controlling the same provide for performing the refrigerant recovery operation not only when the compressor starts operation but also before the compressor stops operation. The refrigerator increases the refrigerant recovery amount within a predetermined pressure range in which the compressor can operate, and controls the refrigerant recovery operation time according to the outdoor air temperature.

Refrigerator and method for controlling the same

The present disclosure relates to a refrigerator having a first storage compartment, a second storage compartment, and a third storage compartment. The refrigerator includes a four-way valve including an inlet through which refrigerant is introduced, a plurality of outlets to discharge the refrigerant, and configured to open at least one of the plurality of outlets, a first heat exchanger connected to a first outlet of the plurality of outlets to adjust a temperature of the first storage compartment, a second heat exchanger connected to a second outlet of the plurality of outlets to adjust a temperature of the second storage compartment, and a third heat exchanger connected to the second heat exchanger and a third outlet of the plurality of outlets to receive refrigerant from at least one of the second heat exchanger and the third outlet to adjust a temperature of the third storage compartment.

A polyester resin copolymerized with isosorbide and 1,4-cyclohexane dimethanol and having an improved impact strength, and a method for preparing the same are disclosed. The copolymerized polyester resin has an alternating structure of acid moieties which are derived from acid components and diol moieties which are derived from diol components, wherein the acid components comprise terephthalic acid, and the diol components comprise (i) 5&#x2dc;99 mol % of 1,4-cyclohexanedimethanol and (ii) 1&#x2dc;60 mol % of isosorbide with respect to the total diol components.

Polyester resin and method for preparing the same

Disclosed are a copolymeric polyester resin composition having outstanding color stability (transparency) and a production method therefor. The copolymeric polyester resin composition comprises: between 95 and 99.99 percent by weight of a copolymeric polyester resin having a structure which is obtained by the copolymerization of a dicarboxylic acid component and a diol component that comprises isosorbide, and in which there is repetition of a dicarboxylic acid moiety derived from the dicarboxylic acid component and a diol moiety derived from the diol component; and between 0.01 and 5 percent by weight of an antioxidant selected from the group consisting of hindered phenol-based antioxidants, phosphite-based antioxidants, thioether-based antioxidants and mixtures thereof.

Polyester resin composition and a production method therefor

A copolymerized polyester heat shrinkable film which can be used as a label, a cap seal or a direct packaging for various containers is disclosed. The copolymerized polyester heat shrinkable film is made of a copolymerized polyester resin having alternating structures of acid moieties which are derived from acid components and diol moieties which are derived from diol components, the acid components comprising terephthalic acid, and the diol components comprising isosorbide 1,4-cyclohexanedimethanol and ethylene glycol. The copolymerized polyester heat shrinkable film has a shrinkage initiation temperature of equal to or more than 60&#xb0; C., and a maximum heat shrinkage ratio of less than 2% at 60 to 70&#xb0; C., and a maximum heat shrinkage ratio of 50 to 90% at 90 to 100&#xb0; C.

A refrigerator which includes a refrigerating compartment and a freezing compartment, a first evaporator and a second evaporator corresponding to the refrigerating compartment and the freezing compartment, respectively, a compressor compressing refrigerant to be supplied to the first and second evaporators, a first fan and a second fan supplying cool air to the compartments, respectively, an external temperature sensor detecting an external temperature of the refrigerator, a multi-directional valve supplying the refrigerant to at least one of the evaporators, and a control unit operating the compressor and the multi-directional valve, and driving the first fan and the second fan until temperatures of the compartments reach a predetermined reference temperature. When the detected external temperature meets a low temperature condition, the control unit controls the multi-directional valve to supply the refrigerant to the first evaporator such that the compressor is operated and an operation of the first fan is halted.

A refrigerator which has a pleasant front appearance by improving a structure to circulate air through a machine room thereof, and which restrains a transmission of operational noise from an interior to an outside of the machine room, thus performing a silent operation. The refrigerator has a cabinet defining a storage compartment therein, and a machine room defined at a top of the cabinet. The machine room is partitioned in an interior thereof into front and rear chambers by a noise buffering plate having a plurality of vent holes. A main inlet hole and a main outlet hole are provided side-by-side at an upper surface of the front chamber of the machine room so as to allow air to circulate through the machine room. A compressor, a condenser and a cooling fan are installed in the rear chamber of the machine room.
