A method for deodorizing air in a cooking device including exhausting air containing odor-producing materials from a cooking chamber of the cooking device through a first opening, and selectively deodorizing air passing through the first opening by removing the odor-producing materials.

A cooking apparatus which uses microwaves is provided such that the inside of the cooking apparatus may be formed more compactly than a conventional cooking apparatus. That is, the number of parts and the assembling process may be reduced by providing a convector (e.g., provided at a side of the cooking chamber) which circulates the inner air of the cooking chamber, and a microwave supplier provided at the convector to supply the microwaves into the cooking chamber through the convector.

The microwave oven includes a magnetron generating electromagnetic waves, a waveguide guiding the electromagnetic waves generated from the magnetron to a cavity, and a stirrer formed to an outlet of the waveguide, receiving electromagnetic waves from the magnetron, and generating two polarized waves having different electric field directions and phases.

Microwave oven including a cavity for placing food therein, a magnetron for generating a microwave, a waveguide having at least two slots for guiding the microwave from the magnetron to an inside of the cavity, and a stirrer fan rotatably mounted on an inside of the cavity for varying an interfered state of the microwaves periodically, thereby heating the food more uniformly.
