Translating information, such as an object type and content, in a first data object from an initial language into a target language includes searching a database to locate a second data object having the object type, attempting to obtain, from the second data object, the object type and the content in the target language, and storing, in the first data object, the object type and content in the target language.

Translating data objects

Systems and techniques for implementing an exception handling framework are described. An exception register is configured to store multiple error messages and rules comprising instructions for responding to the error messages. An exception handler in communication with first and second process components is configured to: detect an error message generated by at least one of the first and second process components; determine that the error message is stored in the exception register; and respond according to a rule corresponding to the error message. The rule uses information pertaining to a business scenario being implemented in conjunction with the first and second process components, and the business scenario is at least partially unavailable to at least one of the first and second process components.

Exception handling framework

A computer program product includes instructions operable to cause a data processing apparatus to receive a packed data structure, receive a linked data assemblage, identify a discrepancy between the packed data structure and the linked data assemblage, and update one of the packed data structure and the linked data assemblage to remove the discrepancy. In the packed data structure, a description of a relationship to a second element is included with a description of a first element. In the linked data assemblage, a description of the relationship between the first element and the second element is separate from the description of the first element and a description of the second element. The computer program product can be tangibly stored on a computer-readable medium.

Data structure mapping and packaging

The disclosure relates to tracking process-related communications between at least two members. To allow project planning, the invention provides a method in which communication events between the members are monitored. Communication information is determined from the monitored communication event, and from the communication information selected communication event information is extracted, such as, for example process information and member information related to the communication event. The selected communication event information is stored.

Tracking of process-related communication

Methods, systems, and computer programs are described for detecting items within stores that are not intended for sale, so as to prevent a sale or re-sale of those items. The items are marked with identifiers, such as smart tags. Each of the items may be registered as being sold, perhaps within a data record associated with the item and the identifier, when the items are sold. As a result, the data record may later be checked, prior to a potential re-selling of the item, in order to prevent maliciously manipulated items from being sold or re-sold. Similarly, if there is no correspondence between an item's detected identifier, if any, and one of the data records, then the item may be prevented from being sold or re-sold. An alarm signal may be provided if such a prevented sale is detected.

Protection of items within stores

A method, a computer program, a computer program product, and a system for checking data consistency of data objects of distributed systems within a computer network are disclosed. System objects may be automatically merged with inbound objects by sending a first data object from a first system to a second system, storing a copy of the first data object within the second system, generating a second data object from the first data object, sending the second data object in the copy to the first system, and comparing at least one data package of the first data object with at least one data package of the received copy using a consistency check operation stored within the first data object, the second data object, or the copy.

Management of inbound conflicts when merging data of distributed systems

A security system for providing monitoring of objects and persons is described. Person identifiers are assigned to, and generally carried by, the persons, where each person identifier is associated with at least one user role. Similarly, object identifiers are assigned to the objects, where each object identifier is assigned to at least one object class. An identification interrogator identifies the object and person identifiers within an area, and a rule generator determines rules defining which persons of which user roles, together with which objects of which object classes are, allowed and/or required within the area.

Monitoring and alarm system

Methods and apparatus, including computer program products, for insuring data consistency within a network of computer systems. The method includes, in a network, sending a first data object from a first system to a second system, storing a copy of the first data object in the second system, generating a second data object from the first data object, sending the second data object and the copy to the first system, and determining a match of the copy with a current state of corresponding data of the copy in the first system.
