According to one aspect of the application, a device for driving a fastening element into a substrate has an energy-transfer element for transferring energy to the fastening element. The energy-transfer element can move preferably between a starting position and a setting position, wherein the energy-transfer element is located, before a driving-in procedure, in the starting position and, after the driving-in procedure, in the setting position. According to another aspect of the application, the device comprises a mechanical-energy storage device for storing mechanical energy. The energy-transfer element is then suitable preferably for transferring energy from the mechanical-energy storage device to the fastening element.

Driving device

A setting tool for driving fastening elements in a constructional component includes piston stop device () for braking the setting piston () and which is located at an end region of the hollow chamber () of the piston guide () in which the setting piston is displaceable, adjacent to the bolt guide (), and has a stop element for the setting piston () and which has a first ring () and a second ring () arranged coaxially with each other and displaceable relative to each other, and a receiving space () provided between the two rings and filled with particles () with respect to which the receiving space is sealed.

Setting tool

A setting tool for driving fastening elements in a constructional component includes piston stop device for braking the setting piston, and is located at an end region of the hollow chamber of the piston guide in which the setting piston is displaceable, and has a damping element supported against a bottom, a stop element for the setting piston and adjoining the damping element in a direction of the hollow chamber, and an inertia body cooperating with the stop element and displaceable in a direction parallel to a longitudinal extent of the setting piston between first and second stops both of which are connected with the stop element and a distance between which, in a direction parallel to the longitudinal extent of the setting piston, is greater than a length of the inertia body in a same direction by length of a decoupling path.
