A rotary body adapted to be subjected to centrifugal forces, with the rotary body including a load ring carried by a wheel disk or the like. The load ring is defined between two enveloping or surrounding cylindrical surfaces which respectively define the inner and outer peripheral surfaces of the load ring. The inner cylindrical surface has a diameter D.sub.i with the outer cylindrical surface having a diameter D.sub.a. At least one axially extending vacant bore is arranged in the load ring, with the bore being disposed at a position spaced from a center of rotation of the rotary body by a distance which is less than 1/4 (D.sub.i +D.sub.a).

Rotary body subjected to centrifugal forces

A tensioning device for a belt drive, especially for a V-belt drive for the drive of aggregates of an engine such as an internal combustion engine, with a fixed member and a member rotatable with respect thereto and carrying a tensioning roller resting against a belt, whereby a spring as well as a damping device having a damping force dependent on the operating condition which presses the tensioning roller against the belt, acts between the fixed and the rotatable part. In order to prevent a belt fluttering and a belt slippage in a defined manner, an additional damping device is provided between the rotatable and the fixed member or the engine which is controllable as a function of one or several operating parameters of the belt drive and/or of the engine and is operable only at certain values of these operating parameters.

Tensioning device

A cylinder casing for use in internal combustion engines having a reciprocating piston is provided having strip-shaped hardened zones along the inner wall of the cylinder which are disposed in such a manner as to impart rotational movement to piston rings relative to the piston sliding within that cylinder.

Cylinder/crank casing in cast iron for internal combustion engines

A liquid-cooled internal combustion engine with a control of the cooling medium temperature of its cooling medium circulation by a thermostatically operating mixing valve which includes a mixing chamber in open communication with the suction connection of a circulating pump interconnected into the cooling medium circulation, a return chamber adapted to be closed off with respect to the mixing chamber by a return control valve and connected with the cooling medium outlet of a radiator by way of a radiator return line, and a by-pass channel connected with the cooling medium outlet of the internal combustion engine and adapted to be closed off with respect to the mixing chamber by a by-pass control valve; the cooling medium outlet line of the mixing valve is connected by way of a radiator inlet line with the radiator inlet of the radiator while the return chamber is connected by way of a vent connection with an auxiliary chamber fed with cooling medium by the circulating pump by way of the radiator inlet line for the formation of a liquid seal; the auxiliary chamber, which in its turn is provided with a vent connection leading to a geodetic high-point of the cooling medium circulatory system serving for the air separation, is located in series between two vent lines, of which one is connected to the return chamber and the other to the radiator inlet line.

Liquid-cooled internal combustion engine

A filter housing for accommodating at least one filter insert to filter lubricating oil, which is provided in the installed position with a geodetically upper assembly opening for inserting and interchanging the filter insert and with a geodetically lower base; the housing interior space is connected by way of two separate housing channels extending in the base, with one housing connection each for the inlet of dirty oil and for the outlet of clean oil; the housing interior space can also be connected with a housing connection separate from the housing connection for the inlet of dirty oil by way of a drainage connection adapted to be closed off by means of a closure device which can be opened at will.
