The invention relates to a shaft drive unit, in particular an electrical drive unit for driving a wheel shaft in vehicles; having an electrical machine comprising a rotor and a stator; having a transmission unit, comprising at least one input connected in a rotationally fixed manner to the rotor of the electrical machine, and at least one output connected in a rotationally fixed manner to the wheel shaft. The electrical machine, the input and the output of the transmission unit and the wheel shaft are arranged coaxially with respect to one another. The electrical machine has at least one associated converter unit and one associated braking resistor unit. The converter unit forms a physical unit with the electrical machine. The braking resistor unit is arranged in the immediate physical vicinity of the electrical machine and around the circumference of the input or output drive shaft of the electrical machine or of the wheel shaft.

The invention relates to a stator module for an electric motor, especially an electric motor with transverse flux, comprising at least one stator unit that consists of at least one armature winding and which, when mounted, is associated with a rotor, whereby an interferric space is created in a radial direction in relation to the axis of symmetry of the electric motor. The invention is characterized by the following features: the stator unit comprises at least one return element that is made of a pressed material produced by means of powder metallurgy and which comprises a peripheral surface extending in a peripheral direction; two soft iron units which can be formed from tooth elements are associated with the return element, whereby substantially U-shaped cross-sectional surfaces, when seen from an axial viewpoint, are formed and the tooth elements of the individual soft iron units form the limbs of the cross-sectional surfaces; the position of the armature winding is defined by the peripheral surface of the return element, oriented towards the rotor and the self-oriented front faces of the soft iron units.

Stator module for an electric motor

The invention relates to a rotor for an electric machine, specifically a transverse flow machine, comprising at least one support disk and at least one annular pole structure arranged on an end face of the support disk, coaxial to the rotor axis, and extending in axial direction. The pole structure comprises two adjacent rows, separated by an intermediate layer of magnetically and electrically nonconducting material (spacer ring), of the peripheral direction alternately magnetized magnet arrays with interposed collector or soft-iron elements. An end ring is coordinated with each pole structure. A plurality of magnet arrays features an inner and an outer magnet. The design of the collector or soft-iron elements adjoining a magnet array in the peripheral direction is such that they form in radial direction an inner stop and an outer stop for the magnet array. The invention is characterized in that an intermediate element is coordinated with a plurality of magnet arrays. The intermediate element is in a radial direction arranged between the inner and the outer magnet and extends beyond their axial length. The intermediate element is suited for insertion in mating grooves in the rings end ring, spacer ring and central support disk--adjoining the separate rows, of in peripheral direction having alternately magnetized magnet arrays with interposed collector or soft-iron elements.
