A vacuum valve including a valve housing with seat surrounding a first opening with a sealing surface is disclosed. A valve disk having a first disk section and a second disk section tightly mounted inside an outer boundary of the first disk that is movable parallel to an opening axis. A drive is connected to the first disk section. The first disk section includes a first bearing surface configured to contact the sealing surface in the closed position. The outer boundary has a radially inwardly oriented inner surface. The second disk section has a radially outwardly oriented outer surface configured to contact the inner surface sealing a second contact area. At least for determined radial angles about a center of the valve disk, a first radial distance from the center to the first bearing surface is shorter than a second radial distance from the center to the second contact area.

Vacuum valve for closing a flow path with a two-part valve disk

A valve for the gastight interruption of a flow path is disclosed. A valve housing includes a first opening and a valve seat. A valve disk includes an inner disk portion, which is linearly movable relative to an outer disk portion so that, in a closed setting, a pressure differential acts substantially upon the movable inner disk portion, which is supported on the valve housing. The valve seat has a radially inward pointing first inner face and the outer disk portion has a radially outward pointing first outer face, wherein in the closed setting there exists a radial sealing contact with the first inner face. The outer disk portion has a radially inward pointing second inner face and the inner disk portion has a radially outward pointing second outer face, having a radially sealing contact with the second inner face.

Valve for the substantially gas-tight interruption of a flow path

A vacuum valve comprising a valve body with a valve opening, a valve plate which is movable between an open position in which it lies next to the valve opening and releases the valve opening and a closed position in which the valve opening is covered and a diaphragm plate which is movable between a passive position, in which it lies next to the valve opening and releases the valve opening, and an active position in which it partially covers the valve opening. The vacuum valve has a completely open state in which the valve plate is in its open position and the diaphragm plate is in its passive position, a completely closed state in which the valve plate is in its closed position and is sealed relative to the valve body, and a partially closed state in which the valve plate is in its open position and the diaphragm plate is in its active position, wherein the vacuum valve has a reduced cross section compared to the completely open state.
