A measurement apparatus for alternating currents and voltages of a physical plasma ignited by applying an alternating high voltage from an alternating high voltage source to a plasma electrode via a high voltage line comprises a current transformer having a measurement winding on a ring core and a cable guide guiding the high voltage line through the ring core. A first measurement alternating voltage dropping over a measurement resistor connected between ends of the measurement winding is a first strictly monotonic increasing function of an amperage of the alternating currents flowing through the high voltage line. A second measurement voltage dropping over a measurement capacitance connected between a center tap of the measurement winding and a reference potential connector is a second strictly monotonic increasing function of an amplitude of the alternating high voltage applied to the plasma electrode with respect to a reference potential at the reference potential connector.

A device serves for generating physical plasma by means of dielectric barrier discharges with respect to a surface of an object. The device comprises a common high voltage terminal, and a plurality of electrode bodies that are capacitively coupled to the common high voltage terminal, that comprise an exposed electrode surface and a distal end each, and that are, in a main extension direction, elongated in parallel to one another towards their distal ends. The device further comprises spacers made of dielectric a d arranged at the distal ends of the electrode bodies, the spacers projecting beyond the exposed electrode surfaces of the electrode bodies by 1.0 mm to 5.0 mm in the main extension direction. The device may be part of a hair loss therapy apparatus.

Device for forming physical plasma on a surface of an object

A coating method is provided, in which at least one emulsion and/or one solution is applied at least to a first partial area of a surface of a component, said emulsion and/or solution containing at least one layer-forming substance, and then the component is heat-treated, wherein at least one second partial area of the first partial area is subsequently exposed to a plasma, wherein the carbon content of the coating decreases to less than about 80% or less than about 75% or less than about 70% or less than about 60% of the initial value prior to the plasma treatment. A workpiece and a method for the production thereof is provided.

To dry a hand with fingertips and a carpus, the palmar aspect and the dorsal aspect of the hand are blown dry, starting from the fingertips, by a pair of planar gas jets, wherein the gas jets of the pair run towards each other in the direction from the carpus to the fingertips at an angle of less than 180&#xb0;. By applying high-voltage AC pulses with respect to ground to dielectrically shielded electrodes arranged next to both planar gas jets, direct discharges are obtained across the hand on the palmar aspect thereof and on the dorsal aspect thereof.

Device for plasma treatment at atmospheric pressure

In order to treat a biological material () containing living cells with a plasma () generated by a gas discharge at atmospheric pressure () an electrode () is arranged at a distance to the biological material (). Further, a solid body dielectric () is arranged between the electrode () and the biological material (), directly in front of the electrode () and at a distance to the biological material (). Then a high alternating voltage consisting of separated high voltage pulses of alternating polarity is applied to the electrode () for igniting and maintaining a dielectric barrier gas discharge within a region between the dielectric () and the biological material ().

Treatment of biological material containing living cells using a plasma generated by a gas discharge
