A power distributor of an electrical system of a motor vehicle, including a circuit board, which has a main connection to a main circuit and multiple secondary connections. Each secondary connection is assigned to one secondary circuit and electrically contacted with the main connection via a respective circuit breaker that has two connections. The two connections of each circuit breaker are electrically contacted directly with the circuit board.

Power distributor of an electrical system of a motor vehicle

A miniature safety switch is used in motor vehicle electronics. The miniature safety switch has a housing base, from which a fixed contact arm and a bimetallic contact arm, which has a moving contact and a bimetallic snap disk attached thereto, are led out. A PTC resistor is brought into direct contact with the bimetallic snap disk by a compression spring and is electrically integrated in such a way that, as a result of the heat generated by the PTC resistor, the bimetallic snap disk remains in the open position thereof in the event of triggering.

Miniature safety switch

A thermally activated safety switch for safeguarding a consumer of a power supply network of a vehicle, having a switch housing in a temperature-independent switching unit, which subject to the temperature thereof establishes an electrically conductive connection between two external terminals fed out of the switch housing, wherein the external terminals are fed out at opposite housing sides of the switch housing. On the one hand, the external terminals are provided for an electrical and mechanical terminal connection to the cable connection ends of a consumer to be protected, and on the other hand to a cable portion leading to an on-board power supply electronics, and are configured accordingly.

Thermal circuit breaker

A high current switch, in particular for a motor vehicle, having a first bus bar, a second bus bar in addition to a first semi-conductor switch that has a control connection and a first transmission connection as well as a second transmission connection. The first transmission connection is placed in direct contact with the first bus bar and the second transmission connection is placed in direct electric contact with the second bus bar.

High current switch

An electrical circuit including a circuit board on which a number of electrical and/or electronic components are mounted, and a busbar that has a supporting body and a first, second, and third connection. The supporting body is spaced apart from the circuit board and the connections are brought into electrical contact both with the supporting body and with the circuit board. The supporting body has a first cross section between the first and second connection and a second cross section between the second and third connection, wherein the first cross section is smaller than the second cross section. The invention further relates to a bus bar.

High-current electrical circuit having a circuit board and a busbar

A miniature circuit breaker has a housing formed of a housing base of insulating material and a pot-like housing cover, which is or can be positioned onto the housing base. Two elongate and flat contact arms are partially embedded in the housing base parallel with respect to one another in terms of their longitudinal direction. A fixed contact is arranged at an inner end of a first one of the contact arms. A bimetallic snap-action disk with a free end, forming or bearing a moving contact, is fitted at an inner end of the second contact arm at a fastening point. The fastening point, the moving contact and the fixed contact are in this case on an axis which is parallel to the longitudinal direction of the contact arms.

Miniature circuit breaker

A circuit breaker includes a bimetallic snap-action disk fixed to a bimetallic connection disposed in the vicinity of a fixed contact connection inside a coverable housing. The bimetallic disk has a contact end with a contact superposed with a fixed contact of the fixed contact connection in such a way that a contact is established. When the contacts are opened, a spring-loaded isolating slide moves between the contacts. The isolating slide has an illuminated push button for reliably identifying a disconnection.

A protective switch for protecting a circuit includes an operating element or rocker switch, contact connections projecting from a housing, a contact spring electrically connected to a first contact connection and having a free end covering a second contact connection for making contact. A bimetallic element in the housing runs transversely to a slider longitudinal direction and is electrically connected between the first contact connection and through the contact spring to the second contact connection. A slider slides in the housing and has a contact end bearing against and acting upon the contact spring counter to its restoring force in a contact position. The slider is latched by the operating element in a turned-on position. The bimetallic element is coupled to the slider for thermal tripping and has a first longitudinal section at least partly covering and unlatching the slider upon overcurrent to break contact, and a second longitudinal section.

Protective switch for protecting a circuit

A circuit breaker for protecting electrical circuits, particularly in motor vehicles, includes a flat housing, which comprises an insulating material and has two adjacent flat plugs. A bimetal that is embodied as a snap-action element and is fixed to a flat plug serves in contacting the flat plugs together, with the contact end of the bimetal being located in an overlapping position with the counter-contact. During a contact opening as stipulated by an overcurrent, a contact separator automatically travels into the space between the opened contacts, and can be returned from its contact-separating position by the external exertion of a force acting counter to the spring pressure. A manual release device, which diverts the contact end of the bimetal from its contacting position into its contact-opening position, protrudes from the breaker housing.

Circuit breaker for protecting electric circuits in road vehicles

An electric switch (1) includes a switching device (4), movable between its ON position and OFF position, for switching a current circuit. The switch (1) is combined with a magnetic circuit (28, 29) for electromagnetic undervoltage tripping. In the event of undervoltage, the magnetic circuit (28, 29), as it opens, shifts the switching device (4) to its OFF position. The switching device (4) shifted to its OFF position closes the magnetic circuit (28, 29) again. A linearly movable fixing slide (24) couples the switching device (4) with the magnet armature (28) of the magnetic circuit and fixes the magnet armature (28) on the magnet core (29) in the OFF position of the switching device (4).
