A longitudinal guide for vehicle seats including two elongate rails, each including a lower rail, an upper rail supported on the lower rail and displaceable longitudinally, two bearing areas for guiding means, the bearing areas lying diagonally opposite to and being biased against each other, each upper rail and lower rail having an L-shaped region, if viewed in profile, formed by a base leg and an L-leg that protrudes from the base leg substantially perpendicularly, and two end regions, which adjoin the L-shaped region, each end region of the upper or lower rail together with the end region of the associated lower or upper rail forming an embracing area by mutually hooking, end regions of the upper rail forming bearing areas with opposite portions of the associated lower rail, and a plurality of balls are supported in a first bearing area on the end region having a circular arc-shaped profile.

Longitudinal guide for a motor vehicle seat

A longitudinal guide for vehicle seats, comprising a lower rail, an upper rail supported thereon to be displaceable in a longitudinal direction, wherein each upper rail and lower rail has an L-shaped region, if viewed in profile, formed by a base leg and an L-leg projecting from the base leg substantially perpendicularly, and two end regions respectively connected to the L-shaped region. Each elongate rail includes a first bearing area and a second bearing area for guiding means, which are biased to each other and formed by opposite end portions of the respective upper rail and portions of the associated lower rail. Embossments are formed at both ends of the base leg of the upper rail by cold work forming, with a smaller radius of curvature to effect higher stiffness of the longitudinal rail, particularly in event of a crash. Further embossments may be provided for an even higher stiffness.

A spindle drive for longitudinally adjusting a motor vehicle seat is provided. The spindle drive comprising an adjustment rail that can be longitudinally adjusted relative to a body mounted rail and an adjusting mechanism that includes a driving worm connected to a driving device as well as a spindle nut, the external teeth of which mesh with the external teeth of the driving worm, and the internal teeth of which mesh with the external thread of a spindle. The spindle nut is formed by a hybrid spindle nut that has a functional part, which is located in the force flux between the driving worm and the spindle, and at least one strengthening part, deflecting crash forces from the adjustment rail into the spindle.

Spindle drive for longitudinally adjusting a motor vehicle seat

An adjusting means for adjusting two vehicle parts relative to each other, in particular for the longitudinal setting of a vehicle seat is provided. The adjusting means comprising an adjusting gear unit arranged on a first vehicle part and a spindle arranged on a second vehicle part, which extends in longitudinal direction, is in engagement with the adjusting gear unit and along which the adjusting gear unit is movable for adjusting the first vehicle part relative to the second vehicle part. There is provided a reinforcement part which supports the adjusting gear unit with respect to the first vehicle part in the longitudinal direction of the spindle such that due to the reinforcement part with forces introduced in the longitudinal direction from the first vehicle part into the adjusting gear unit the adjusting gear unit is supported with respect to the first vehicle part with a higher rigidity than with forces introduced against the longitudinal direction.

The invention relates to a motor vehicle seat comprising a seat sub-frame adjustable along a rail longitudinal guide to which a backrest is hinged in a pivoting manner and can be folded forward toward a seating surface of the seat sub-frame, a locking device for arresting the rail longitudinal guide in an adjustable seating longitudinal position, an entry aid by means of which the locking device is released, when the backrest is folded forward to the seating surface and a memory arrangement for adjusting and restoring a memory position having a position memory that has an adjustment means for adjusting the memory position in the rail longitudinal direction of the rail longitudinal guide and a locking element that is connected to the adjustment means in a pivoting manner that under the effect of a control element can be pivoted in a locking rail for locking the adjusted memory position and pivoted out of the locking rail for adjusting a memory position and is connected to the adjustment means via a slotted guide such that a virtual point of rotation of the locking element lies underneath the rail profile of the locking rail.

The rail includes two elongated guide rails that engage with one another and are displaceable in relation to one another in the longitudinal direction of the rails, a retaining bracket for a seatbelt buckle, which is fastened to one of the two guide rails, a slot that is provided in one of the guide rails, through which a fixing section of the retaining bracket is guided into a space enclosed by the two guide rails and a fixing point, at which the fixing section of the retaining bracket is connected to one of the guide rails. The fixing section when viewed from the longitudinal direction of the rails, extends beyond the slot and the fixing point, also viewed from the longitudinal direction of the rails, is located at a distance from the slot.

A vehicle seat includes a seat underframe and a backrest which tips forwards, these being interconnected by an adjustment and tipping axle and which preferably has a backrest inclination adjustment device on both sides. The adjustment device containing an adjustment gear and a part whose angle is adjustable in relation to a side part of the seat underframe. According to the invention, a first catch element which may be moved by the coupling device is provided, corresponding to a second catch element, provided on the memory device whereby both catch elements engage with each other to prevent movement of the seat frame in the seat longitudinal direction, when the seat frame is in the memory position thereof, the locking device is locked and the fixing device is not completely released by means of the coupling mechanism, but is already far enough released that a movement of the seat frame in the seat longitudinal direction is possible.
