A vehicle measurement system includes a laser projector which is designed to generate suitable laser radiation during the vehicle measurement operation, and a laser protection device which is suitable for protecting people and objects from the laser radiation. The laser projector and the laser protection device are designed as separate components and are combinable to form a laser projector having a laser protection device and are separable from one another again.

In a method for controlling a measuring system in a chassis measuring station, the motor vehicle is detected automatically in the measuring station by at least one detection unit and its position is ascertained with respect to at least one measuring device which is controlled on the basis of a signal of the detection unit in that an operating state of the measuring device is activated. The measuring system includes at least two mutually opposite measuring devices, which respectively have one image acquisition unit and one transverse referencing unit, and at least one detection unit, which is a light barrier having at least one transmitter and receiver.

A method for determining distances for chassis measurement of a vehicle having a body and at least one wheel includes determining a center of rotation of a wheel of the vehicle by projecting a structured light pattern at least onto the wheel, recording a light pattern reflected by the wheel using a calibrated imaging sensor system, determining a 3D point cloud from the reflected light pattern, and determining the center of rotation of the wheel from the 3D point cloud. The method also includes determining a point on the body by evaluating the previously determined 3D point cloud or by evaluating a plurality of grey-scale images recorded under unstructured illumination. A height level is determined as a vertical distance between the center of rotation of the wheel and the point on the body.

A method for determining the rolling radius of a wheel, of a motor vehicle on a road surface, including: projecting a light pattern onto the wheel and road surface; recording a light pattern reflected by the wheel and road surface using an image recording device; determining 3D coordinates of points of the reflected light pattern; identifying points of the reflected light pattern of the wheel; identifying points of the reflected light pattern of the road surface; determining the position of the center of rotation of the wheel from the reflected light pattern points identified as belonging to the wheel; determining the position of the road surface from the reflected light pattern points identified as belonging to the road surface; determining the rolling radius on the contact surface of the wheel as the distance between the center of rotation of the wheel and the position of the road surface.

Method and device for vehicle measurement

A vehicle roof with a roof opening disposed within a fixed roof outer skin of a vehicle and a cover () to optionally close and at least partially open the roof opening. To at least partially open the roof opening, the cover can be both tilted out from a closed position at its rear edge and displaced in the driving direction to the rear. The cover has at least one locking lug () in the region of its leading edge () that engages, from below in a closed position of the cover, into a support element that is stiff in a direction perpendicular to the roof outer skin. Additionally, the cover is formed at its rear edge such that engagement from below under the lateral and rear areas of the roof opening does not occur in the closed position.

The invention relates to a roof structure with a roof cutout for a sliding-lifting roof or an outer sliding-lifting roof. A roof cutout seal is provided, which encircles the roof cutout and which seals a roof skin against a sliding-lifting roof or an outer sliding-lifting roof. A roof stop () i.e. a strip () serving as a drip strip or drip projection is provided in the area of an edge () of the roof skin () delimiting the roof cutout (). Under the strip (), the roof cutout seal () has a sealing channel () for holding dripping water. The invention also relates to a roof cutout seal () for the roof structure.

A guide device for a movable roof element of an openable vehicle roof with a guide sliding block connected to the roof element and with a guide unit which has two guide surfaces which route the guide sliding block between themselves and which are pointed in opposite directions, one of the guide surfaces being held on the guide unit to be able to move relative to the guide sliding block and being pretensioned relative to the other guide surface by a spring mechanism, the spring mechanism having at least two spring elements which are located in a parallel connection on the guide unit. Preferably, the component which contains the slide surface is supported by the first spring element on the first support site of the guide unit and by the second spring element on the second support site of the guide unit.

A motor vehicle roof with two openable covers () in which the rear cover () can be lowered at its front edge (V) and the front cover () can be moved at least partially over the rear cover () in its lowered position. The front cover () can be raised at its rear edge (H) and by means of support devices () which are located near its rear edge (H) can be moved on guides () which are located laterally outward alongside of the rear cover (), which is made as a spoiler cover.

A guide rail () for the roof opening system of a motor vehicle has several lengthwise guide rail segments () which are located in succession in the guidance direction (a), and at least one adapter () located in a transition area between adjacent guide rail segments (). The adapter provides for a continuous guide transition () between the coaxial guideways () of the adjacent guide rail segments (). In such a guide rail, viewed over the length of the guide rail, guideways and cable channels can also be arranged nonuniformly and the guide rail segments can be made completely individually, especially optimized for the respective area of the task.

An openable motor vehicle roof, which is provided with at least one cover () which, in the closed position, closes at least part of a roof opening (), with a carriage () which can be moved in the lengthwise direction of the roof in a first roof-mounted guide () by a drive, and with a cover-mounted cover carrier () which is movably guided in the lengthwise direction of the roof by a first sliding element () in a second roof-mounted guide () and by a second sliding element () which is offset to the rear relative to the first sliding element in the third roof-mounted guide (). The cover can be raised at its rear edge by displacement of the carriage to the rear and can be pushed to the rear with the rear edge of the cover raised to clear the roof opening. The cover carrier () is provided with a first guide path () into which the carriage () fits by means of a first engagement element () and which is made such that, proceeding from the closed position, the displacement of the carriage, and thus of the first engagement element, to the rear causes the raising motion of the rear edge of the cover.

A openable motor vehicle roof with at least one cover ( ) which can be moved out of a closed position in which it closes a roof opening along a roof guideway ( ) to the rear into a deposited position in a rear gate ( ) of the motor vehicle. The rear gate is provided with a guideway ( ) for the at least one cover and is coupled to the vehicle body to swing about a transverse pivot axis that is located on or near its upper end in order to be swung out of the closed position into an open position. The guideways ( ) and the rear gate ( ) are made such that the transfer of the at least one cover to the rear gate takes place in a transfer position of the rear gate which lies between the closed position and the open position of the rear gate ( ).

An openable motor vehicle roof is provided which includes a cover which in the closed position closes at least part of the roof opening, a cover-mounted cover carrier which is provided with a first crank path, and a slide which can be moved in the lengthwise direction of the roof by means of a drive in a first roof-mounted guide channel. The front area of the cover is movably guided in a second roof-mounted guide channel. A first engagement element, positioned on the raising lever, engages the first crank path and a second engagement element, attached to the raising lever, is movably guided in a third roof-mounted guide channel to control a raising motion of a raising lever. The rear edge of the cover can be raised out of the closed position by moving the slide by means of the raising lever. The first crank path is shaped such that when the raising lever is not raised, the displacement of the first engagement element in the first crank path causes a raising motion of the cover.
