A solenoid valve, such as, for example, a tank-vent valve f or tank venting in motor vehicles, includes at least one valve orifice forming a sealing seat, and a valve member, which cooperates with the sealing seat for releasing and closing it, the valve member being stressed by at least one spring element and activated by an electromagnet. An essentially unstressed neutral position of at least one additional spring element, which acts upon the valve member in the activation direction, is provided in which the valve member is set apart from the sealing seat. In this manner, the impact of the valve member on the sealing seat, which may be accompanied by distracting noises and wear, is damped.

Solenoid valve, e.g. a tank-vent valve for tank ventilation in motor vehicles

A canister-purge valve for the metered admixing of a fuel scavenged from a fuel tank of an internal combustion engine into the internal combustion engine includes a valve seat and a valve body movably located relative to the valve seat. A sealing element is provided on the side of the valve body facing the valve seat and a damping element is provided on the side of the valve body facing away from the valve seat. The sealing element () is made of a first elastomer and the damping element () is made of a second elastomer with different properties than the first elastomer.

Tank vent valve

In a method and an arrangement for checking the tightness of a vessel (), especially of a tank-venting system of a motor vehicle, the vessel () is charged with a pressure generated by a motor-driven pressure source () and the motor current is determined. A reference leak () is selectively driven by a switchover valve () and is charged with a corresponding pressure and the motor current is determined. The determined electrical characteristic quantity and the determined reference characteristic quantity are compared and a conclusion is drawn therefrom as to the presence of a leak. To prevent the entry of moisture into the pressure source (), it is provided that at least the pressure source () is heated intermittently. The heating takes place preferably by driving the switchover valve () at a suitable pulse duty factor. To prevent the entrance of moisture into the pressure source (), a check valve () is provided and is suitably mounted in the connecting part of the pressure source ().

Heatable tank leakage diagnosis unit, particularly for motor vehicles

An actuator () has two parts in the iron circuit and has a simple construction. A method and an apparatus operate a tank system including a tank system of a motor vehicle. The tank system includes a tank for receiving a fluid medium forming a volatile substance and an adsorption filter connected to the tank for receiving the volatile substance which emanates from the tank. A shutoff valve is connected to the adsorption filter and is drivable between an open position and a closed position whereat the tank system is closed off to the ambient. A tank fill-level sensor detects the fill level of the fluid medium in the tank. A fill pipe is connected to the tank for filling with the fluid medium. The fill level is detected while tanking and the shutoff valve is driven into the closed position when the fill level has reached a maximum fill level.

Method and arrangement for obtaining a low-emission tanking operation of a tank system including a tank system of a motor vehicle

A magnet valve according to the related art has a sealing and damping device with an elastic region on which, during operation, a force acts due to different existing pressures that must also be overcome when the armature plate is moved. A magnet valve ( ) designed according to the invention has a sealing and damping device ( ) with an elastic region ( ) that is oriented and designed in relation to a seal seat ( ) in such a fashion that the above-described force is offset. In order to assure a reliable seal of the sealing seat ( ) in a simple manner, according to a first embodiment according to the invention, the spring element ( ) is comprised of a leaf spring ( ) which is connected on the one end to the armature ( ) and on the other end to the closing body ( ) and furthermore, is pre-stressed against the closing body ( ). Valve for metered introduction of evaporated fuel into an intake conduit of an internal combustion engine

A control unit ( ) makes a single control signal available for driving the through-flow control valves (TEV , TEV ) ( ). Through-flow valve (TEV ) has a larger maximum through flow than through-flow control valve (TEV ). A delay circuit is indicated by the phantom outline ( &prime;) and is mounted at the valve stage TEV2 ( ). The delay circuit includes an electric delay element ( ) with the aid of which the original control signal is delayed in time by an amount &Dgr;t relative to the control signal of control valve (TEV ). The resulting delayed signal is supplied to an AND-gate ( ) together with the original control signal. Accordingly, a control signal is present at the output of the AND-gate for the control valve (TEV ). The time delay makes possible the exclusive activation of the through-flow control valve (TEV ) ( ) at low pulse duty factors. In this way, a high small quantity meterability is achieved. Starting at a specific pregivable switch-in time, the control valve (TEV ) ( ) is switched in so that a very large through flow is possible. The invention thereby makes possible excellent meterability at low as well as at high through flows.

Electrically controlled valve

A magnet valve for tank venting in motor vehicles, having at least one valve opening forming a sealing seat and having a spring-loaded valve member cooperating with the at least one sealing seat for opening and closing the valve and actuated by an electromagnet counter to the restoring force of a restoring spring. Downstream of the valve member, a flow element that throttles the flow of a gas is disposed, the shape of the flow element is adapted to the opening cross section of the sealing seat that cooperates with the valve member, for determining (metering) the flow quantity of the gas through the cross section of the flow element when the magnet valve is open. The shape of the flow element is determined (metered) in such a way that the area of the opening cross section of the effective valve seat is greater than 2.5 and preferably greater than 9 times the area of the effective cross section of the flow element.

Valve for dosing the admission of volatilized fuel

A solenoid valve for tank ventilation in motor vehicles, comprising a magnetic yoke with at least one valve opening and with a cooperating spring-loaded valve member for opening and closing the at least one valve opening. The valve element constitutes a magnetic armature of an electromagnet and is disposed between the magnetic yoke of the electromagnet and a hollow, cylindrical magnet core of the electromagnet. A valve seat body which is separate from the magnetic yoke and contains the at least one valve opening is disposed in an axial opening in the magnetic yoke, and on a side remote from the valve member. The valve seat body rests against a housing wall of the solenoid valve by use of a support element made of a damping material.

A valve for metered introduction of fuel, volatilized from a fuel tank of an internal combustion engine, into the engine, having a valve housing which has an inflow neck for connection to a fuel tank or to an adsorption filter downstream of the tank for the volatilized fuel, and having an outflow neck for connection to the engine, having a valve member accommodated between the inflow neck and the outflow neck in the interior of the valve housing, which valve member is actuatable by an electromagnet that has a magnet core, and which cooperates with a valve seat embodied on a valve seat body, is characterized in that the valve housing includes a first housing part, closed on the inflow side by a protective screen, in/on which the electromagnet, the valve member, the valve seat body and the outflow neck are provided, and a second housing part, on which the inflow neck is disposed and which can be secured to the first housing part.
