A permanently excited synchronous machine includes a stator; a winding system arranged in grooves of a laminated core of the stator and forming winding overhangs on end faces of the laminated core, and a rotor connected in fixed rotative engagement to the shaft and having ferrite magnets which extend axially beyond the end faces of the laminated core. The rotor electromagnetically interacts with the stator across an air gap there between during operation of the permanently excited synchronous machine to cause a rotation about an axis of rotation. A flux concentration element is provided radially across each of the ferrite magnets of a magnetic pole and bundles magnetic field lines of the ferrite magnet onto an axial length of the laminated core of the stator. The flux concentration elements and held by a fixing element on the ferrite magnets of a magnetic pole.

A driving mechanism for operating a shaping die to join stacked plates by a deep-drawing and swaging operation is implemented as an electric drive, such as a linear motor or a rotary motor, which is operatively connected to the shaping die.

Electric drive for a shaping die

A drive system includes a rotary drive unit for rotating a shaft and a linear drive unit for moving the shaft in a linear direction. To improve efficiency and shelf life, an energy storage is mechanically connected to the shaft for biasing the shaft to seek a linear movement in opposition to the linear direction. The energy storage absorbs the kinetic energy of the shaft and releases it again subsequently.

Drive system for linear and rotary movements

The invention provides an arrangement for determining the speed and rotor position of an electric machine, which arrangement consists of a tachometer generator having a permanent-magnet-excited rotor and a coaxially arranged rotor position transmitter which has a rotor body equipped with permanent magnets. Around the circumference of the rotor body magnetic-field sensitive sensor elements are arranged. A compact assembly of the tachometer generator and rotor position transmitter without detrimental mutual interference is possible by the provision that first permanent magnets magnetized in the tangential direction are arranged centered to the pole gaps of the tachometer generator rotor at the rotor body in such a manner that the sides of two adjacent permanent magnets facing each other have the same polarity as the magnet pole extending between the respective pole gaps of the tachometer generator rotor. Furthermore at least one second permanent magnet magnetized in the direction of an axis of rotation is arranged on the side of the rotor body adjacent to the tachometer generator rotor, centered relative to each two first permanent magnets in such a manner that its side facing the tachometer generator rotor has the opposite polarity (N or S, respectively) as the opposite magnet pole of the tachometer generator rotor.
