A control module with connection devices for connection to connection terminals of a load feeder is disclosed. The control module may include a device interface for at least one connection, the interface being independent of the bus system, with a shut-off element able to be connected to the at least one connection device and with the load feeder able to be shut off by way of the shut-off element independently of the bus system. The control module may be plugged into connection terminals of the load feeder.

A recording device is for recording the switch state of an electromagnetic switch device. In at least one embodiment, the recording device includes a housing, in which a plunger is movably mounted. The plunger may be moved between two mechanical end positions, wherein the end positions of the plunger correspond to the switch states of the electromagnetic switch device. A sensor device is arranged in the housing by which it may be recorded in which of the end positions the plunger is and from which a corresponding electrical signal may be emitted. The sensor device is designed to be able to record the position of the plunger without contacting the plunger.

Service devices are used in the field of automation and normally form interfaces between programmable logic controllers (PLC) and the installations or installation components to be controlled. Service devices such as these generally have a multiplicity of electrical interfaces for additional modules, with the additional modules being connected via control lines to the PLC, to further service devices or to installation components. An electrical additional module for a service device, a combination of the additional module with the service device, and an additional module set having various additional modules which allow easier fitting and removal of the additional modules in the service device are disclosed. In at least one embodiment, an electrical additional module is proposed, having an appliance interface for fitting the additional module to a service device, with the service device having a stepped holding geometry with at least two steps on each of which a contact device is arranged for holding an electrical opposing contact device, with the appliance interface having step sections which are designed to be complementary to the at least two steps and on which in each case one of the electrical opposing contact device is arranged in order to make contact with the associated contact device, and with the at least two step sections being rigidly connected to one another when the additional module is not fitted.

There is described a method and a system for monitoring a protective apparatus, which is connected upstream of a switching device and is connected to the switching device via at least one main current path. The wiring complexity for monitoring of the protective apparatus is minimized. This is achieved by virtue of the fact that the sate of the protective apparatus is determined by a tap of the at least one main current path at or in the switching device by means of an evaluation unit. As a result of this direct evaluation of the switching state of the protective organ on the switching device, the wiring which until now has been required for an addition auxiliary switch on the protective device is dispensed with a possible fault source also being minimized along with the wiring complexity. For this purpose, the proposed solution is also independent of the physical design (branch-oriented or row-oriented, distance between the devices) in a switchgear cabinet.

A module includes a mounting plate and a housing, which can be swiveled onto the latter. The housing includes a housing base and a housing cover joined together with the housing base in an interlocked manner. Inserted between the housing base and the housing cover is a seal, which becomes fully functional when the housing is screwed to the mounting plate.
