In order to optimize the production of electrical switching contacts, particularly for vacuum tubes, a Field Assisted Sintering Technology process is proposed in which an electrical or electromagnetic field supports and/or produces a sintering process for producing semifinished contact elements for electrical switching contacts, contact elements for electrical switching contacts and/or electrical switching contacts, particularly for vacuum tubes. According to an embodiment, the contact material prior to the sintering process is present in such a form that the material composition of the contact material and/or at least one property of the contact material varies in at least one body direction of the finished contact element.

Method and device for producing contact elements for electrical switching contacts

A method is disclosed for improving the production of electrical switch contacts, in particular for vacuum tubes. In the method, an electrical or electromagnetic field assists and/or effects a sintering process. In the method, the sintering process takes place on a metallic carrier, and via the method, semi-finished contact elements for electrical switch contacts, contact elements for electrical switch contacts, and/or electrical switch contacts, in particular for vacuum tubes, are produced.

Method and device for producing contact elements for electrical switch contacts

An illumination device with at least one LED as the light source, the LED emitting primary radiation in the range from 370 to 430 nm of the optical spectral region (peak wavelength), this radiation being partially or completely converted into radiation of a longer wavelength by three phosphors which are exposed to the primary radiation from the LED and which emit in the blue, green and red spectral regions, so that white light is formed. The conversion is achieved at least with the aid of a phosphor which emits blue light with a wavelength maximum at 440 to 485 nm, and with the aid of a phosphor which emits green light with a wavelength maximum at 505 to 550 nm, and with the aid of a phosphor which emits red light with a wavelength maximum at 560 to 670 nm.

A light source, having at least one LED for emitting a primary radiation and at least one luminescence conversion body having at least one luminescent material for converting the primary radiation into a secondary radiation. The luminescence conversion body is a polycrystalline ceramic body which itself acts partly or completely as luminescent material by virtue of at least part of the base material which forms the ceramic body being activated by a dopant.

A luminescent powder () with luminescent particles () having an average luminescent-particle size () selected from the range of from 0.1 &#x3bc;m inclusive to 5.0 &#x3bc;m inclusive. The luminescent particles comprise primary particles () having an average primary-particle size (5) selected from the range of from 0.1 &#x3bc;m inclusive to 1.0 &#x3bc;m inclusive. The primary particles which, for example, consist of a cerium-doped yttrium-aluminum garnet (YAlO), are agglomerated to form the luminescent particles. A method for producing the luminescent powder has the following steps: a) preparing at least one precursor of the primary particles, b) producing the primary particles from the precursor of the primary particles, and c) forming the luminescent particles of the luminescent powder from the primary particles. The precursor for YAlOis, for example, a powder mixture of hydroxides. In order to prepare the precursor, the hydroxides are precipitated from a sulfuric-acid solution containing metal by dropwise addition of a basic ammonia solution. The precipitate is dried and subsequently calcined, so that the primary particles are formed and simultaneously cluster together to form the luminescent particles of the luminescent powder.

A light source, comprising at least one LED for emitting primary radiation, and at least one phosphor for converting the primary radiation into secondary radiation. The secondary radiation has a decay time at room temperature of at least 0.1 seconds before the luminescence intensity of the secondary radiation is no longer perceptible to the human eye.

A method for producing high-density, translucent, scintillator ceramics by way of a pressure-less sintering carried out at an elevated temperature. According to the method, particles of a MOS composition are prepared using a specific wet milling method whereby being reduced, in particular, to a particle size of less than 10 &#x3bc;m. The particles are compacted to form compacted bodies with green densities of up to 50% and higher. The sintering may be carried out under specific sintering parameters.

A high efficiency phosphor from the class of the thiometallates, preferably of the thiogallates. The thiometallate being made so as to correspond to the formula (AS)&middot;w(B S ), where A is at least one divalent cation selected from Mg, Ca, Sr, and where B is at least one trivalent cation selected from Al, Ga, Y. The factor w may lie either in the range 0.8 &lE;w &lE;0.98 or in the range 1.02 &lE;w &lE;1.2.

In an improved method for manufacturing a phosphor ceramic on the basis of a rare earth oxisulfide, a phosphor powder having a high specific surface of more than 10 m.sup.2 per gram is employed and is compressed to form a high-density, optically pure and translucent ceramic by single-axis hot-pressing under a reducing atmosphere.
