A two-component polyurethane adhesive is described having high strength and extensibility, wherein the mechanical properties are only slightly dependent on the temperature. The polyurethane adhesive can be suitable as a structural adhesive. The adhesive can include a triol, a diol, a polyamine, a polyisocyanate, and a polyurethane polymer having isocayanate groups in certain ratios.

Structural polyurethane adhesive

The present invention relates to a two-component polyurethane adhesive consisting of a polyol component and a polyisocyanate component, wherein the polyol component comprises a triol with a molar mass of 1,000 to 10,000 g/mol, a diol having two primary hydroxy groups and a molar mass of 60 to 150 g/mol, a poly(trimethylene oxide) diol or a poly(tetramethylene oxide) diol with a molar mass of 200 to 3,000 g/mol and an aliphatic polyamine. The adhesive is characterized by high early strength, a low temperature dependence of the mechanical properties, good adhesion and the possibility of controlled thermally induced release of adhesion.

The present invention relates to a polyurethane composition consisting of a first and a second component, wherein the first component comprises an alkoxylated aromatic diol, a low molecular weight aliphatic or cycloaliphatic diol and a specific polybutadiene polyol in specific ratios. The cured composition is characterized by having good adhesive characteristics, a strength that is only slightly dependent upon the temperature in the temperature range of &#x2212;35 to +85&#xb0; C. and high strength and elasticity. It is particularly suitable as a structural adhesive for bonding two substrates.

Two component polyurethane composition

The invention relates to a polyurethane composition comprising one first component and one second component, said first component comprising an alkoxylated aromatic diol, a low molecular aliphatic or cycloaliphatic diol, a specific polybutadiene polyol and a specific polyetherpolyol, in specific ratios. The hardened composition is characterized by having good adhesion characteristics, a resistance which is only slightly dependent on the temperature, in the temperature range of &#x2212;35 to +85&#xb0; C. and also very high resistances. It is particularly suitable as a structural adhesive for bonding two substrates.

A method for gluing of shaped bodies made of fiber composite compositions containing a plastic matrix KFZ with polyurethane compositions, the method including: a) application of IR radiation to a defined region of the shaped body of KFZ; b) application of a polyurethane composition to the defined region of the shaped body; c) bonding of the polyurethane composition on the defined region of the shaped body to a substrate; and d) curing of the polyurethane composition. The method is distinguishable by a rapid strengthening (early strength) of the polyurethane composition, so that the bond produced with its use can be machined or stressed already a short time after the application of the polyurethane composition.
