A method and device for producing hot-rolled products in a combined continuous casting and rolling system includes a device for separating and removing. In order to overcome a disruption in production in a part of the system located downstream of the device for separating and removing, the method includes: (a) separating the endlessly produced precursor material into a strand portion with shears; (b) clamping the strand portion; (c) raising the trailing part of the strand portion from the roller table by a raising device, so that the strand portion is drawn away from the shears in the direction of transport; (d) cutting the precursor material into a precursor material portion with the shears; (e) removing the precursor material portion from the roller table, and removing the strand portion until the combined continuous casting and rolling system is ready to operate again.

Method and device for a combined continuous casting and rolling system

A method is disclosed for transferring a metal coil, e.g., for transferring a metal coil in a coil box, on a transfer path between a first coil position and a second coil position, wherein the metal coil is supported during the transfer on the transfer path in segments by means of support rollers, and wherein the metal coil is simultaneously unwound, wherein a cradle expanding in the direction of the transfer path is formed by changing the positions of support rollers disposed adjacent to each other, wherein the coil is supported by two support rollers disposed on a first frame part in the first coil position and is displaced in the direction of the second coil position from said first coil position in that said frame part is simultaneously tilted and lowered.

In a reel furnace having a strip reeling device, the strip reeling device comprising a reel shaft, a reel drum supported on the reel shaft and at least one stirrup clamp, the reel shaft passing through a furnace wall delimiting the inner space of the reel furnace and being supported rotatably in supporting bearings outside the reel furnace, the reel drum and the at least one stirrup clamp being positioned with respect to one another by means of a connection element, and a gap for receiving a strip head being set between the reel drum and the at least one stirrup clamp. The useful life of the reel drum is appreciably increased and a strip thickness-dependent setting of the entry gap for the hot-rolled strip is ensured when the reel drum is designed as a closed body and the connection element is designed as an actuating device for fixing a specific gap width between the reel drum and the stirrup clamp and for clamping a strip head which has entered the gap.

A method and an apparatus for producing hot-rolled products in a combined casting-rolling installation. A method and a combined casting-rolling installation with which an uninterrupted continuous casting process can be maintained not only when there is a planned interruption to production but also when there is an unplanned interruption to production, occurring for example in a heating zone, a finishing mill train, a cooling zone or a storage device. A coiler furnace having a heat-insulated enclosure delimiting a furnace interior, a strip coiling device includes a coiler drum having a slotted receiving opening for the hot-rolled strip in the furnace interior, A controlled rotational drive for a coiler shaft is located outside the furnace interior. An inlet and outlet opening to the enclosure for a hot-rolled strip. A strip guiding device between a roller table and the coiler drum. In order to avoid any winding errors, a feeding shield extends through the enclosure of the coiler furnace and is coupled to a displacement drive arranged outside the furnace interior. The displacement drive can be displaced between an insertion position and a withdrawal position of the shield. The feeding shield, in the insertion position, interacts with the strip guiding device to form a feed funnel, mounted upstream the slotted receiving opening on the coiler drum for the hot-rolled strip together.
