A rock drill ( ) for rotary hammers or the like is proposed in which a conveying helix ( ) having main and secondary webs ( to ) is used. In this case, the convexing helix ( ) is run up to the front region of the drill head ( ) with the core cross section being increased or the flute depth being decreased.

Rock drill

A drilling tool, in particular a rock drill, is proposed, which is formed from a drill head, a clamping shank and a helical shank which is located between them. In order to produce a cost-effective drilling tool, the initial material used is a polygonal profile which is provided with a conveying helix groove in the region of the helical shank.

A drill bit includes a one-piece cylindrical drill bit tube having a longitudinal axis and defining cylindrical surfaces including an inner cylindrical surface and an outer cylindrical surface. At least one of the cylindrical surfaces is configured to include deformations comprising at least one of embossments and recesses, all of the deformations appear over an entire length of the tube. At least some of the deformations are finite over the at least one of the cylindrical surfaces, the deformations further being adapted to stiffen the tube in the longitudinal direction without additional material reinforcements being disposed on the tube. The drill bit further includes hard-metal cutting elements disposed on a front face of the tube.

A drilling tool and, in particular, a rock drill, which is of multi-part design, is proposed. In this, the drill head and/or the clamping shank is connected via a helical shank designed as a threaded rod.

A drilling tool which is suitable especially for clearing drill dust from a drillhole in rock-drilling work is provided. For this purpose, the spiral shank has brush elements (6, 17) which are arranged in the groove bottom of a conventional drilling tool or which themselves form spiral feed coils.

A rock drill having a drilling head which, in an asymmetric arrangement relative to the main cutting tip, has at least one additional secondary cutting tip, the angle enclosed between the single cutting edge of the main cutting tip and the secondary cutting tip being formed as an acute angle.

A rock drill haivng a drill head with cruciform cutting tips is proposed which has improved chiselling properties in the case of percussive loading in hard rock or the like. For this purpose, the main cutting tip (4) is of a design know per se with secondary cutting tips (7,8) which are arranged transverse thereto and have a roof-shaped cross-section in side elevation. Additional, radially further outward bit points (16) for working the material result from the roof-shaped cross-section of the secondary cutting timps (7,8,) (cf. drawing).

The drilling tool proposed serves for making perforations and is equipped with an exchangeable feed helix. To prevent the feed helix from being damaged if the drilling tool becomes tilted or if the feed helix is jammed, the feed helix can execute a specific stroke by means of a supporting spring, in such a way that the drill shank can rotate freely relative to the feed helix.

A rock drill in which the depth of the recessed groove for accommodating the cutting body is made greater than the axial brazing-in depth of the cutting body whereby a largely stress-free seating of the cutting body results. In particular, for rock drills for making break-throughs, this recessed groove extended in the radial direction into lobes of a drill head can be used for locating cutting bodies in the lobes.

A boring tool for producing undercuts in preformed holes. The boring tool has a cutting element which is provided at one end of a driving shaft. In order to produce the undercut, the driving shaft can be deflected at right angles to the axis thereof via a deflection mechanism. The deflection mechanism is accommodated in the boring tool, and is provided with a longitudinally displaceable deflection rod for positively deflecting the driving shaft. In the deflected position, the driving shaft is driven by a rotary drive which is separate from the turning drive. As a result, the undercuts can be very precisely produced.

A drilling bit having two helical withdrawal grooves which extend from the drilling head in the direction toward the insertion or chucking end. The withdrawal grooves have least slope in the vicinity of the drilling head. In the other regions, the withdrawal grooves have a different slope. As a result, no cross-sectional jumps disposed at uniform intervals are provided on the drilling bit, so that transverse oscillations cannot be reinforced by partially constantly or continuously reflected pulses. A considerable reduction in noise is achieved. Furthermore, the central portion of the drilling bit, which is critical during drilling, receives great rigidity.

A rock drill, particularly for reinforced concrete, for rotary blow drilling, having one or several helical removal grooves for the removal of drill dust and a drill head furnished with a hard metal cutting ring is disclosed. In a preferred embodiment, the drill shaft is provided with a removal channel communicating the cutting ring head and a removal groove in the drill shaft surface.

A rock drill, especially for rotary blow machines and drifters or stoppers with drilling cutting edges and at least one drilling dust conveying groove which in axial direction is confined by a web which extends around the drill axis and one lateral surface of which forms a drilling dust supporting surface which merges with the bottom of the drilling dust conveying groove. The bottom of the drilling dust conveying groove extends from the drilling dust supporting surface at an acute angle with regard to the drill axis rectilinearly up to the back surface of the web. The ratio of the width of the drilling dust conveying groove, measured in axial direction of said drill, to the width of the back of the web is greater than 5:1.

A drilling device with an arrangement for the detachable connection of a drill, especially a rock drill, percussion drill, hammer drill, and the like, to a receiving device, e.g. a drive head, which has a longitudinal bore for receiving the shank of the drill, and also has a driving part which is drivingly connectable to a drilling machine and is coaxial with the longitudinal bore. The drilling device furthermore comprises a drive transmitting member movable in the driving part transverse in the longitudinal bore of the receiving device. The drive transmitting or follower member is arranged to engage a bottom face of a recess in the shank of the drill. This recess has a segment-shaped cross section and has a bottom extending continuously over the entire corresponding width of the drill shank. On the driving part a securing part is mounted which is movable substantially in axial direction of the driving part into a position in which the drive transmitting member is arrested in its drive transmitting position and also into a position in which the drive transmitting member is released from its drive transmitting position and action.

Drilling device

A rock drill for rotary blow drilling with a drilling head arranged at the free end of the drill shaft, which at least partially consists of hard metal. The drilling head the end face of which is circular disc shaped or circular ring shaped includes a formed piece of solid hard metal. Cutting bodies are machined out of the end of this piece of hard metal which cutting bodies have the shape of pyramids or truncated pyramids and taper with increasing distance from the drill shank.
