The invention relates to a connecting device for a blade on the wiper arm of a windshield wiper system, the wiper blade being formed by a springy support element that is provided with a wiper strip. The inventive connecting device comprises a holding mechanism that is fastened to the outer edges of the support element, and a connecting bolt which is disposed on the holding mechanism and runs transversal to the longitudinal extension of the wiper blade. The aim of the invention is to design such a connecting device in such a way that the parts which are subject to wear are placed on the wiper blade. The aim is achieved by the fact that an adapter bracket is hinged to the connecting bolt. The final piece of the wiper arm, which is adapted to the adapter bracket, can be joined in a fixed and detachable manner to the adapter bracket via a locking connection or latch and is connected thereto in a fixed manner in the assembled state of the wiper blade. Moreover, the adapter bracket us embodied such that the connecting bolt, and thus also the wiper blade, is able to perform a swinging movement relative thereto the swinging movement being due to and determined by a curvature of the vehicle window.

Connecting device for a wiper blade on the wiper arm of a windshield wiper system

A windshield wiper arrangement includes a mounting for a drive containing a wiper motor, a gear unit and a lever arm and two bearing brackets, spaced from the drive, containing wiper arm drive shafts each carrying an oscillating lever connected by a link rod to the lever arm. The mounting is an integral tubular structure shaped by high pressure forming of a tubular blank placed in a two-part mold having recesses extending essentially perpendicularly to the axis of the tubular part. Bushings for the drive shafts and a mount for the drive are forced into projections which are formed in the recesses when the tubular blank is shaped.

Windshield wiper arrangement for vehicles

A windshield wiper system for motor vehicles includes two wiper blades which rotate in the same direction and are driven by a crank linkage mechanism. The wiper system is arranged to enable independent positioning of the two wipers and which is economical and simple to install. The system uses two drive rods, one rotatably connecting the crank and a first wiper and rigidly connected to a connecting member. The end of the connecting member is rotatably connected to the second drive rod which is connected to a second wiper. The rotatable connections are preferably ball and socket connections.

Windshield wiper system

A wiper control arrangement for vehicles has a motor with a reversible direction of rotation and a driven shaft to which a wiper is rigidly coupled, and a position regulator which receives a wiper drive control signal and a driven shaft position signal detected by a detector of the position of the driven shaft and supplies a regulating variable to the motor. The signal from a vehicle speed sensor and/or wiping angular speed sensor associated with the wiper control arrangement are supplied to the position regulator, the wiper drive control and/or the driven shaft position detector in order to reduce the wiping angle of the wiper at higher speeds of the vehicle and/or higher wiping angular speeds.
