A SPIM-microscope (Selective Plane Imaging Microscope) having a y-direction illumination light source and a z-direction detection light camera. An x-scanner generates a sequential light sheet by scanning the illumination light beam in the x-direction. The SPIM-microscope has an illumination optics having a zoom optics provided in a beam path of the illumination light beam, the zoom optics being adapted to change the focal length of the illumination light beam and adapted to detect a larger area of the object by sequentially detecting sequences of images along the y-direction that have an increased resolution along the z-direction. An image processing unit combines these sequences of images by image stitching into one large overall image.

A SPIM-microscope (Selective Plane Imaging Microscopy) and a method of operating the same having a y-direction illumination light source and a z-direction detection light camera. An x-scanner generates a sequential light sheet by scanning the illumination light beam in the x-direction. An electronic zoom is provided that is adapted to change the scanning length in the x-direction independently of a focal length of the illumination light beam and a size of the light sheet in the y-direction and in the z-direction, wherein the number of image pixels in x-direction is maintained unchanged by the electronic zoom independently of the scanning length in x-direction that has been selected.

A STED-SPIM-microscope (Selective Plane Imaging Microscopy) having a y-direction illumination light source and a z-direction detection light camera. An x-scanner generates a sequential light sheet by scanning the illumination light beam in the x-direction. By optionally turning on a STED deactivation light beam the light sheet can optionally be made thinner and therefore the optical resolution can be increased.

A power module is adapted to be connected to a voltage source and to supply power to a load. The power module includes a power transistor; and a gate controller for driving the power transistor. The gate controller includes a gate transformer, and an impulse generator that extends a negative drive phase of a gate voltage to the power transistor relative to a positive drive phase of the gate voltage to the power transistor.

High frequency excitation system

A power module is adapted to be connected to a voltage source and to supply power to a load. The power module includes a switching bridge that includes a first power transistor and a second power transistor, a first gate controller for driving the first power transistor and a second gate controller for driving the second power transistor. The first gage controller includes a first gate transformer, and a leakage inductance of the first gate transformer forms a resonant circuit with an input capacitance of the first power transistor. The second gate controller includes a second gate transformer, and a leakage inductance of the second gate transformer forms a resonant circuit with an input capacitance of the second power transistor.
