There is provided a reading lamp having a lighting unit (BE) which has at least first light emitting diodes (LEDs) and/or second light emitting diodes (IR-LEDs) for the emission of IR radiation. The reading lamp further has a modulation unit (ME) for modulation of the light emission of the first and/or second light emitting diodes in dependence on an input signal (IN).

The invention relates to an arrangement for optically determining the distance of a reflecting surface that can be used, in particular, for determining slight variations in distance such as can frequently occur in vibrating systems. Such an arrangement can also be used as optical microphone or hydrophone. The arrangement according to the invention is designed in this case such that light from a light source is directed onto a reflecting surface via a first optical fiber, and light reflected therefrom is directed onto at least one statically arranged optical detector via the first optical fiber or at least one further optical fiber. An optical element collimating in the direction of the reflecting surface is arranged between the reflecting surface and the one or more optical fibers. Furthermore, at least two optical elements focusing in the direction of the reflecting surface and whose optical axes are aligned parallel to the optical axis of the collimating optical element and are arranged at constant spacings from one another are arranged above the reflecting surface.

Arrangement for the optical distance determination of a reflecting surface

The invention is directed to a microphone, particularly a microphone of the kind used in theaters or in television studios, preferably a wireless microphone. It is known to provide marking in the form of a microphone cap or a colored adhesive tape at the end of the microphone for the variously assigned individual microphones in the studios. These solutions are relatively cumbersome and are seldom very attractive in appearance. The object of the invention is to avoid the previous disadvantages by providing a microphone with a color display which is visible from the outside and which signals the ready status of the microphone, wherein a switching device is provided for switching the color of the display.

An information system for supplying a predetermined region with information includes a transmitter for transmitting information in digitally coded form and a hand-held device. The hand-held device includes a receiver for receiving the information transmitted by the transmitter, a digital memory device for storing the received information, a reproduction device for reproducing the stored information, in particular acoustically and/or optically, and an event detection device for detecting specific events, wherein, upon detection of an event from the stored information, the information which is assigned to the detected event is selected for reproduction.
