An assembly for a fluid-filled piston-cylinder unit comprises a main body having an assembly longitudinal axis (), a valve unit integrated in the main body and having an overflow channel, which valve unit seals the overflow channel when the assembly is moved along the assembly longitudinal axis in a first direction and releases the overflow channel, in dependence on the fluid pressure, when the assembly is moved along the assembly longitudinal axis in a second direction. Furthermore, the assembly comprises an outer seal element that is arranged on the main body so as to be moved along the assembly longitudinal axis, for abutting in a sealing manner against an inner surface of the housing, and at least one undercut element formed on the main body for engaging in an interlocking manner behind a mating element of the piston-cylinder unit.

A damping hinge for damping a hinge rotational movement about a hinge rotational axis comprises a housing extending along the hinge rotational axis, the housing comprising a first housing part, a second hosing part, which is rotatable relative to the first housing part about the hinge rotational axis, and a piston arranged in the working chamber such as to be displaceable along the hinge rotational axis, a piston rod for displacing the piston, and an adjustment device for adjusting a damping effect of the damping hinge, the adjustment device having a plurality of discrete adjustment stages each providing a different damping effect.

A closing hinge for the pivotable articulation of a first part, in particular a door leaf, on a second part, in particular a door frame, includes a center longitudinal axis, a rotating receiver unit that can be rotated about the center longitudinal axis for fastening to the first part, which can be rotated, in particular, about the center longitudinal axis, and a freely rotating closing unit, which is connected to the rotating receiver unit in a torque-transmitting manner, for fastening to the second part, which is fixed, in particular, with respect to the center longitudinal axis, the closing hinge being displaceable between a closing arrangement and a freely rotating arrangement, the rotating receiver unit being freely rotatable, in particular in a torque-free manner, about the center longitudinal axis relative to the freely rotating closing unit in the closing arrangement.

Closing hinge

A door arrangement includes a first part, in particular a door leaf, a second part, in particular a door frame, on which the first part is pivotably articulated about a pivot axis, a closing hinge, which connects the first part and the second part, for a closing movement of the first part relative to the second part and a damping hinge connecting the first part and the second part, to damp the closing movement. The door arrangement can be displaced between a closed position, in particular in which the first part rests in a closing manner on the second part, and an opened position, in which the first part is pivoted at a pivoting angle that differs from zero about the pivot axis in relation to the second part.

The invention relates to an active impact protection system () for a knee area and/or a lower leg area of a vehicle occupant in a motor vehicle, particularly in a passenger car. The impact protection system () comprises an impact element () that can be extended toward the vehicle occupant out of a passive position and into an active position by means of a drive device (). A steering column damper for a power-driven vehicle comprises a jacket tube with a central longitudinal axis; a sliding tube displaceably guided in the jacket tube; a steering shaft, which is mounted for pivotability about the central longitudinal axis relative to the sliding tube and/or the jacket tube and guided through the jacket tube and the sliding tube; at least one working area, which is disposed between the jacket tube and the sliding tube and filled with a damping medium; at least one working-area-volume reduction unit, which is connected with the sliding tube, reducing the volume of the at least one working area upon insertion of the sliding tube into the jacket tube; at least one aperture which opens the at least one working area to ambience for discharge of the damping medium from the respective working area; a closing element for blocking the at least one aperture; and a triggering unit for controllable release of the respective closing element.

Steering column damper

An impact damper for supporting a bumper of a vehicle on the latter's chassis consists of two tubes one guided within the other, the external tube having at least one inwards-directed projection reinforced by a reinforcement ring and engaging with a suited depression of the internal tube. A deformation face is formed on the projection and tapers towards the axis of the tubes.
