A dry transformer to be mounted on or under or in a vessel or means of transportation, in particular a rail car or power car of a train or a ship, includes at least one core and at least one winding. The winding surrounds the core and the core and the winding are parts of a coil. The coil and/or the core and/or the winding are mechanically connected to an outer support structure by at least one strut. The transformer is able to master the required typical dynamic loads in at least one direction in transportation applications, such as railway applications.

Dry transformer

A transformer for use in a rail vehicle and/or for rail applications, including a core which is at least partially surrounded by at least one coil is, with regard to the objective of providing a transformer in which the geometry of a coil can be selected to be as variable as possible, characterized in that the core is produced from individual segments, wherein the total cross-sectional surface-area of the core is greater than or equal to the sum of the individual cross-sectional surface-areas of the segments and wherein at least two individual cross-sectional surface-areas differ from each other and/or from the total cross-sectional surface-area in terms of their size and/or geometric shape.

Transformer for use in a rail vehicle

A dry-type transformer for mobile applications includes a transformer core, at least one radially inner first winding segment, and at least one radially outer, second hollow cylindrical winding segment. The segments are wound around a common winding axis and the transformer core passes therethrough. The segments are nested inside one another and radially spaced apart from one another, such that a hollow cylindrical cooling duct is formed therebetween. Spacing is achieved by spacer elements arranged such that the cooling duct allows a passage of coolant in an axial direction. The spacer elements are formed and arranged along the radial circumference of the cooling duct over the axial length thereof such that the proportionate weight of the horizontal transformer can be borne on at least one contact surface of the at least second winding segment without causing deformation to the cooling duct.

Dry-type transformer

An underfloor transformer includes a layered transformer core and at least one electrical winding through which the transformer core extends along a limb axis. In each of two axial end regions of the transformer core, a securing device, which interacts with the transformer core mechanically, is provided. The securing devices are configured for such tensile force stressing. The underfloor transformer can be carried suspended therefrom.

Underfloor transformer

A transformer of dry design is disclosed having a core composed of amorphous material, which is sensitive to mechanical loads, having at least one winding former which surrounds the core and is in each case formed from at least one primary winding and secondary winding, and having at least one holding apparatus. A method for transformer production is also disclosed, wherein the holding apparatus is used to fix the at least one primary winding and secondary winding in each case and for this purpose it acts on each of the end faces of the at least one winding former.

Power transformer with amorphous core

The disclosure relates to a housing for an electric machine, for example, an electric power transformer, such as a dry-type transformer, with cooling channels being provided within the housing for a cooling medium. The electric machine and a cooling system can be arranged in the housing, with vertically arranged first and second channels for the cooling medium being provided. The medium can flow around the electric machine, with the housing accommodating the electric machine and the cooling system substantially forming a hermetic encapsulation.
