The invention relates to a primer cap for small-caliber ammunition, having an outer metallic cup in which is arranged a priming composition which generates hot combustion gases following initiation. To enable more versatile control of the initiation process in the weapon, it is proposed that a resistance bridge which can be initiated electrically, and an electrically conductive pole piece, are additionally arranged in the primer cap, wherein the first pole of the resistance bridge is connected to the cup and the second pole is connected to the cup and the second pole is connected to the pole piece, which protrudes out of the cup and is electrically insulated from the same.

Electronic primer cap for small-caliber ammunition

The invention relates to an electromechanical primer cap, having an explosive mixture for the selective electrical or mechanical initiation of the explosive mixture, having an outer metal cup, and electrically conductive pole piece, a firing bridge support body made of an electrically insulating material, with a through-bore, on the upper side of which a firing bridge is arranged, and having a counter surface placed onto the explosive mixture, wherein a hole through which the pole piece protrudes is constructed in the vase of the metal cup. A portion of the explosive mixture lies on a contact surface of the pole piece, and the counter surface protrudes as far as the through-bore of the firing bridge support body, or into or through the bore, and continues to just above the contact surface.

Electromechanical primer cap

The invention relates to an actuator with a housing () in which a piston () with a pin () is inserted in a longitudinally displaceable manner, and with an igniting element () with contact pins (), wherein the contact pins () project out of the housing () on the connecting side () thereof, and, when the igniting element () is ignited by the propellants generated, the piston () is displaced in the direction of the actuating side () until the pin () projects out of the housing () on the actuating side (). For production to be more cost-effective, it is proposed that the housing () is designed as a single part and in the form of a cylinder, and the connecting side () is injection moulded or bonded around the end surface () of the housing () with a cylindrical cover () fitting thereover.

Pyrotechnical actuator

A separating device is integrated in ammunition, with which a line is separated at the earliest possible time during a firing process. The separating device is composed mainly of a piston, which preferably has a sharp edge, is guided in a rigidly mounted cylinder, and, in the unloaded state, is positioned by a shear flange. The cable is preferably securely supported in a protective tube which is connected with a propellant charge primer, and in which the cable is guided as far as the tip of the propellant charge primer and is then further guided to the rear end of the projectile. In the upper area of the cylinder, the cable is guided through a bore, which preferably lies transversely to the direction of acceleration of the piston, so that when the piston moves forward, the cable is separated by the sharp edge of the piston.

Pyrotechnic active element

A practice projectile without an explosive for firing against a practice target with large-calibered weapons, wherein the projectile incorporates a projectile body which is in the configuration of a cylinder and which possesses a conical nose cone. The projectile includes a nose cone which is constructed in the shape of a truncated cone having a flat leading end surface with a diameter of about 0.08 to 0.1 that of the projectile caliber, wherein the nose cone forms a sharp contact edge with the cylinder of the projectile; a ratio in the length of the nose cone to that of the cylinder of approximately 1:1.+-.5%; a location of the center of gravity of 3 to 3.5 times the projectile caliber, measured commencing from the leading end surface; and a ratio of 4.0 to 7.0 for the moments of inertia between the transverse and longitudinal moments.

Practice projectile without an explosive for firing against a practice

A fin-stabilized projectile having a sabot which forms a practice projectile with a sub-caliber projectile including a sabot whose base includes a passageway for propellant charge gases and a projectile component which is displaceable by the gases.
