A vehicle transformer has a transformer core with two opposed yokes and at least two limbs extending in between them along a parallel limb axis, wherein a support structure is provided at each of the yokes for carrying the vehicle transformer with horizontal oriented limb axis, wherein a hollow cylindrical coil with at least one respective electrical winding is arranged around at least one of the limbs. The coil may be rigidly connected with the limb so that the flexural resistance of the rigid combination of both is improved therewith compared to a combination of both without rigid connection.

Vehicle transformer

The disclosure relates to a transformer having a yoke which has a crosspiece and at least two limbs, over which limbs a coil is placed in each case, and having at least one carrier on which the crosspiece is fixed and which has bearing faces for the coils. At least two supporting blocks for each coil are mounted on each bearing surface. The supporting blocks are fitted with elastic compensation elements on the coil-side carrying face and have, on their longitudinal side faces, which run perpendicular to a carrying surface, at least one strip which extends the creepage path and runs in the longitudinal direction and parallel to the carrying surface of the supporting block.

Two- or multiphase transformer

A method for winding a coil for a transformer comprising providing a cylindrical inner tube of insulating material including a radially outwardly projected first end wall section disposed at a first end of the cylindrical inner tube and a radially outwardly projecting second wall section disposed at a second end of the cylindrical inner tube; winding a first insulating layer onto the cylindrical inner tube so as to extend to the first end wall section and the second end wall section; and winding a first winding wire layer onto the first insulating layer so as to provide a first distance between a first end of the first winding wire layer and the first wall section and a second distance between a second end of the first winding layer and the second end wall section.
