Optical pressure transducers are used in devices for the measurement of the pressure of explosive gasses and liquids. In order to increase the sensitivity of the optical pressure transducer, the diaphragm (3) is made to be reflective on both sides. Two pairs of light conductors, each comprising a first light conductor (10, 11) for a light emission and a second light conductor (12, 13) for intercepting the light reflected by the diaphragm (3), are arranged on opposite sides of the diaphragm.

The invention relates to a device for transmitting microwaves between two bodies which are rotatable relative to each other. Two annular waveguides are arranged on a common axis. Each waveguide has a coupling slot along its circumference. A transmitting aerial projects into each coupling slot and is moveable relative to the associated waveguide. The electromagnetic waves generated by the transmitting aerials are received by receiving aerials at the ends of the waveguides, respectively. The outputs of the receiving aerials are prepared for further processing.

Device for microwave transmission between two bodies which are rotatable

The moisture content of an object is determined by placing the object in a field produced by a microwave applicator and measuring the dielectric properties of the applicator. The measured properties are used to derive the moisture content from known dielectric properties for the applicator without the object present, and from known moisture/dielectric properties for the specific material of the object.
