A specially designed sealing element () for a circular connector in which the sealing surface is subdivided into two areas, a first sealing section being designed to have a mainly radial sealing effect and a second sealing section being designed to have a mainly axial sealing effect. As a result, an effective sealing is achieved even in the case of counterparts having higher tolerances.

In a round plug connector, the screen ends at the plug-side end of the grip body, is provided. An axially moveable contact-making element is arranged on a screw element, it being possible for the contact-making element to assume two positions. The first position is 'screen applied'. The second position is 'screen not applied'.

An electrical plug connector for connection of an electrical cable () to an apparatus, such as a sensor or an actuator, includes a housing () having a contact mount () holding a variety of contacts (), and an electronics circuit () having at least one light-emitting element, LED () and being electrically connected to the contacts (). The status of whether the LED () is illuminated or not can be identified particularly well, even in the presence of strong external incident light, by the housing () being composed of a thermoplastic material, at least in the area of the LEDs (), and including an additive () that influences transparency and color for reducing the transparency of the thermoplastic material.

Electrical plug connector

An electrical connector connects to a mating connector by a rotatable union nut that is axially displaceable on a contact carrier with a sealing element therebetween. Damage to the sealing element is prevented by a stop that limits the maximum path by which the union nut can be screwed onto the mating connector, such that when the union nut is screwed on, the elastic sealing element is intentionally compressed, but is not damaged or destroyed. A vibration guard can also be provided in the connection.

A housing for holding electrical and/or electronic components with a housing opening and with an entry fitting which is rotationally located in the housing opening, the entry fitting having a cylindrical holding part in which an annular groove is formed, and being held by a fastener in the housing. In the housing, the entry fitting can be securely attached to the housing with simple means and installation of the entry fitting, with the housing otherwise closed, is possible in that, for axially securing the entry fitting in the housing opening, there is an open plastic snap ring which is provided with a feed bevel which is guided in the annular groove, and which, in the installed state of the entry fitting, is locked at least partially in a groove in the housing opening.

Housing for holding electrical and/or electronic components

A electrical unit consisting of a proximity switch and a cable terminal part is described, where the proximity switch has an outside housing and an insulation part, positioned on one end face of the outside housing and having a terminal element with terminals which lead to the outside. The terminals of the terminal element include terminal sockets. The cable terminal part includes a cable and a connecting part, and the cable is mounted in the connecting part and the ends of the leads of the cable are electrically connected to the terminal sockets of the terminal element. The electrical unitcable terminal part also has a cap which surrounds at least the connecting part and is attached to the proximity switch.

A built-in plug with a grounding wire contact pin (3) is located on and projects from a plug side of a plug housing (2), and is designed for connection to an electrically conductive housing (5) of a part (6) into which the plug is to be incorporated. To make available a built-in plug which essentially corresponds to the current safety standard, and which therefore has the required creepage distances and clearances, it is provided that grounding wire contact pin (3) is electrically connected to a grounding wire element (9) which is routed to an outer surface (8) of the plug housing (2) and which is used for contacting the conductive housing (5) of part (6) into which the plug is to be incorporated.

A housing for electronic switchgear comprises an outer sleeve made of metal, an inner sleeve positioned within the outer sleeve and being made of electrically insulating plastic that is impermeable to water, dust and other media in the ambient atmosphere, and a stopper of similar plastic. The inner sleeve is closed at one end and the stopper is inserted into the sleeve at its other end to sealingly close the sleeve. The inner sleeve consists of a first sleeve part open at both ends and a second sleeve part aligned with the first sleeve part and closed at one end. The other end of the second sleeve part is abutting upon one end of the first sleeve part. The stopper is sealingly inserted into the first sleeve part at its other end. The plastic of the first sleeve part is transparent or translucent whereas the plastic of said second sleeve part is not transparent or translucent, but otherwise identical or of equal grade. Both sleeve parts are bonded together with their abutting ends in a hermetically sealed and puncture-proof manner, in particular, by ultrasonic plastics welding. Preferably the first sleeve part is an extruded part, whereas the second sleeve part is an injection molded part.
